Halo: The Master Chief Collection has sold more than 2 million copies on Steam in just two days

It didn't sell anywhere near 2 million yet.

It's at 45k concurrent players right now. There is no doubt however MCC on Steam will a massive success as each one of the bungie games is added. Halo 4 and 5? LOL

looking forward to finally playing thru Reach's campaign tho. Halo 3 looks phenomenal in 4K on X. I expect reach to be as much as a treat.

I still don't see this as "Halo is back!". It's more like... "halo got ported!"

Infinite will still be shit
I wonder how thin the player base will be spread. I feel like 3 might have the biggest multiplayer base, but man 2 and especially CE also had insanely good multiplayer to revisit. It's a good thing they are releasing separately

2 million is probably the highest estimated being ultra optimistic.
Said that 1 million in one week is already an amazing feat.

BTW TMCC has the best Halo games... the issue with actual Halo franchise is the lack of quality with Halo 4 and 5 that tuned out in low sales for the franchise (more 5 than 4).

Oh you fiound the sales numbers?

I am really enjoying playing Reach online on my X. It's great to have another solid shooter with a big sandbox. Feels so good to play. Gameplay feels confident. Good job 343. :)

Completed the Legendary campaign co-op. By the end of it we jokingly decided that two Jackals were the scariest thing a Spartan could face. Or three Grunts, which can body you in a second if they all fire their pistols at the same time.

Tips:
  • Elite shields block needle supercombines. Use needle weapons against Brutes for easy wins.
  • Plasma Pistol and DMR is the most consistently available and effective loadout.

This bundle includes all titles in the collection that will be delivered over time, beginning now with Halo: Reach and ending with Halo 4 in 2020.

I am confused by that. Does that mean if I buy it that I dont get all the games now and I have to wait for them to be unlocked over time? I want to buy it but jesus I want all my games.

Only Reach has been ported to PC right now. You can buy the ones you want as they come out, but if they're priced like Reach that's 10 dollars per game. Or you could buy the whole collection, which contains all the games for 40 dollars, and they'll be playable as they release. Basically if you want 3 or less of the games buy them separate, if you want 4 or more just buy the collection.

I played some more last night. It's amazing how increasing the texture resolution and the resolution of the normal maps, brings the game within competitive zone of today's current games. It's missing the great lighting, PBR, and other features like SSS, reflections, etc.. but the detail in textures makes it a very good experience.

Microsoft is running out of reasons to make great games to just keep exclusive to Xbox.

Mediocre games to pad out Game Pass and basically act third-party on the bigger titles. We will see if this is enough to keep Xbox platform kicking.

I really wish they would have at least tinkered with screen space reflections. It looked great in Halo 2 Anniversary.
