Agreed. People who don't see this as a big deal feel free to give me some leave days and/or 60 bucks. This isn't what I paid for. And I'm gonna keep bitching about it till it works. Lol.
So far, I haven't been able to get into a multiplayer match and that's a bummer, but I have been really enjoying a trip down memory lane with the single player campaigns. Amazingly, despite being an old gamer, I've never played the Halo 2 campaign, so I've been enjoying that quite a bit.
I won't lie, the main reason I've been excited about this compilation is the multiplayer, as I really do love the way Halo does multiplayer, but launch issues are to be expected, and I have no doubt they will be resolved soon. The Halo 2 Anniversary maps look great and I can't wait to play some matches on them.
My only hope is that the matchmaking works soon, because I have Warlords of Draenor, Mario Kart 8 DLC and the remastered GTAV that are all going to be commanding my time soon..,
We will see what happens, and there is no doubt I'm bummed that the matchmaking didn't work perfectly from the start, but that's the kind of shit that happens. I look forward to partaking in the Halo joy soon!

The Evil Within is just as messy as the MCC with half the quality of the core game there to make up for it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty unhappy that this shit isn't working day one but I fully expect MS/343 to have it fixed by the weekend.

Seems like Xbox live is having problems right now. Just checked the status of it, and it says social and gaming limited. Maybe thats why the mp is so bad right now.
Best to understand that matchmaking isn't working great at the moment and not spend too much time relying on it.

Well finally just got another matchmade game in. Sanctuary BRs. 3 on 3. It split one guy and his guest and put them on 2 different teams. Needless to say despite that everyone stayed in and it was fun. Ran smooth as hell.
I really hope 343 can get this mess all patched up. So many bugs that I really don't know if they can. Shame too.

I know everyone else is feeling the pain too, but man it sucks getting placed into a game by yourself. Hope this gets sorted sooner then later and its not some code issue like driveclub :/

Making my way through the Halo campaigns solo while I wait for matchmaking to work properly. Finished Halo: CE and got halfway through Halo 2 today.
Nah not joking. The system is aesthically unpleasing to look at, the user interface is confusing as hell, I have had nothing but bad luck with the party chat and invites, install times are ridiculous, double A batteries in 2014???
I know this is all personal opinion and your Driveclub comment is true too and there's no excuse for that, but I am not impressed with this console so far. Shit even the mic is going out on me and I haven't had the thing for more than 24 hours.
I do however love the SHIT out of Halo and Gears. Only reason I shelled out 350 for one game. And I'm gonna stick it through till they bring back the trilogy to its rightful spot. But man, bad first impressions.

My controller often disconnects and randomly decides to be terrible at being wireless and briefly pauses all input.
It was also a major hassle to get the headset to work today.
Just bought my Xbox One with that $350 deal, and while I like the games, I've had less issues with my PS4.
Edit: Why the hell is settings an application? Took me forever to find it. Also, most apps crash, including achievements.

Although MCC is an exceptional case for Halo; I've never seen a launch like this.
It's evidently clear that this was an over ambitious project for a November 11th release. I doubt 343i will repeat such a thing with Halo 5.
Meanwhile the other console that forces you to use an internal battery lasts around 5.5 hours on a charge.
I'll take double AAs and choice over a forced internal battery any day, this argument over "we shouldn't be using AAs in 2014" is so lame and convoluted considering that internal batteries are nothing new and have no advantages beyond coming with the controller.

About 8/10 matchmaking attempts fail for me still.
True. But If I'm spending 60 bucks on something and I'm not getting the experience I feel the developers promised, well, it's not gonna change till I see a difference. Whether its launch day or not.

halo 2 classic has seemed to work better. I also don't leave the room if other people from the previous game are still in it. don't back out.
