Halo The Master Chief Collection |OT| Halo Never Died, It Was Just Missing In Action

Damn so going to the Halo CE>Halo 2>Halo 3 tabs and selecting missions from there voids the achievement?

I'm pretty sure you have to do the "Master Chief Saga Playlist" to see the prologue and epilogue videos for the game and to get an achievement for beating the Master Chief Playlist. I was just wondering if you only beat that playlist, do you also get the individual achievements for beating the individual campaigns?

Installing offline, heading to cinema to watch Interstellar while leaving it to download update. Then Forge...

My physical copy of MMC was fully installed after an hour last night.

Just got Classic Team Slayer Halo CE Hang em High map. o_O

And I spawned dead, died again, threw a grenade, and froze lol.

Just restarted the game :(

This game - if it was 100% complete and working properly - would be a big push for me to buy an Xbox One. Really unfortunate to hear about the issues and boy does it seem like there are a LOT.

somehow I beat Aotcr then it loaded the library but when it loaded I was on 343 guilty spark then I quit out to play some mp and when i come back the resume option is for the library and it says i beat 343 guilty spark solo... also can you not save progress from a level in coop?

Online is pretty much completely broken at the moment. I hope to see it improve soon. On the single player side, it's great to have the Halo SPs all in one place but it lacks some consistency across games. Halo 1 has framerate issues, Halo 2 Anniversary looks and plays great but isn't 1080p, Halo 3 is great and has rumble trigger feedback, and I haven't tested Halo 4 much. But it just points to the game being handled by separate devs, leading to a different performance output for each game.

I was able to play an entire B2B CTF match on Blood Gulch. Though it was only 5 vs 5. Regardless...no lag and the entire match finished. However I did get booted out to the main Multiplayer screen afterward.

Progress, I suppose.

Honestly other then the matchmaking issues (which is a big problem that I'm not downplaying one bit) and some performance hiccups here and there the collection seems really well done.

Oh my god the library can fucking do one. I don't remember it being this annoying in CEA, but it's just unbearably shit... and I'm playing on normal. This following on from the tedium of Assault on the Control room is most unfortunate. [edit] Okay, I'm pretty sure I just skipped 343 Guilty Spark...

This.

Some people need to relax. It sucks you can't play multi but it's not as bad as some of the other launches this and last gen. It's literally been 24 hrs since the game officially came out. If it's like this in 30 days (Drive Club. Im looking at you), we'll then by all means rage and riot MS studios.

Um.

Halo 2 seems 'off' to me.

Playing on Heroic. Walk into a room. Die almost instantly. That area with the gun (y'know, the part that moves that's ridiculously awesome?) that has the jetpack elites. I killed the first guys. There's one that comes jetpacking into view as I get onto the moving bits. He fires a couple rounds that hit me. Blam. Dead.

My roomate was watching and thought I was playing on Legendary, but no, I picked Heroic. Game says it's Heroic. Feels like Legendary though. Deaths are almost instant, no time for strafing. The first room with the bugs just isn't fun at all. I don't even get to move around.

This is coming from someone who's beat Reach like 3-4 times on Heroic and loves it to pieces. The original game definitely didn't kill me this quickly; Halo 4 did occasionally.

Is this a bug, or does Halo 2's Heroic difficulty just turn Chief into soggy toilet paper?

I despise that level. It seemed like a cut and paste job done just to extend the time it takes to complete the game. I almost stopped playing the game I disliked it so much.

I have no desire to ever replay that level, even in 1080p :)

Not shocking at all. H3 is one of the best campaigns of any FPS ever. It holds up incredibly well.

If that is the case, then I won't skip the first Flood level. I will at least give it a shot to see if I like it.

Really? I wonder if that's why nothing was popping for me last night. I just went to the games, chose Halo CE and picked the first chapter, continuing on from there. So I need to start over choosing that playlist?

I don't get how you can get the error "this session is full" while searching for Matchmaking. I'm not trying to join a particular session.

I'm on heroic too and have just reached the Delta Halo. Definitely tougher than I remember it being but it was so long ago.

I didn't see the Master Chief Saga Playlist, or at least not where I can play it on Legendary.

I find this decision to be absolutely silly. So, now I need to restart the game and instead of choosing the Halo 1 Legendary playlist, I have to do "Master Chief Saga Playlist." And, mind you, I can't just simply play "Campaign" modes for each title.

Like it has been posted here, the UI is a hot mess.

I think the difficulty might be off as well.
On normal and elite melees kill me in one hit at full shields. Something I never remember happening in Halo 2. It has been awhile though.

Yeah. I walked in and unloaded an ENTIRE CLIP from my SMG into two grunts. Neither died. My roommate yelled "THAT'S THE VERY DEFINITION OF A BULLET SPONGE" and "THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN"

I've meleed guys four and five times without killing them.

wtf is up with the difficulty; this isn't fun at all

Please elaborate. I am interested in this premise. :)

Basically, The Library separates the weak from the strong. It's a pure combat level, one you rush through, killing what you can. It's all about getting to the end, though. People who hate it are generally bad players; people who love it are good ones. It's one of the best levels in the game.
