I'm pretty sure I saw an option for it in the game options when you choose a level.

Nah, I've had campaign forget my checkpoints and freeze up on me. Custom games are broken, too, but not as bad as MM.

Also I Halo didn't have matchmaking issues before Obamacare.

yes each campaign has save state, been switching back and forth w/ H2A and 4 no problems

First issue during campaign. Found Captain Keyes in Truth and Reconciliation, got him back to the room with 2 elites, then all of a sudden we are in the covenant dropship leaving the level. Never did I leave the room with the 2 elites.
I ran into this issue playing on the Master Chief playlist and did NOT have this bug in the mission when I selected it from the campaign mission select.

Matchmaking is completely broken for me now. I was able to get in 10+ matches earlier today.
It looked to be running just fine on the stream. Hard to tell for certain because of it's blocky quality, but it didn't look like there were any major issues.
I've gotten into 2 games and the first game a teammate quite out so getting that many games is lucky.

I could get into matches earlier but now I can''t. Are they doing another update? This is ridiculous so far. I had better luck getting into Sim City and Diablo 3 at launch.

I was able to play some custom matches thoug. Now a question... do custom match uses P2P or Dedicated server?
Because I was the host for 5 more friends and we were able to play one match of Halo 2 Anniversary and one match of Halo 4, and that was pretty damn good! =)
I'm really disappointed with the server issues, but other then that I'm having tons of fun with this game playing the campaing alone, or co-op, and today playin custom matches with friends! No regrets here! But matchmaking is a gamer change, so still waiting for it to be fixed and hoping for the best!

Do you think 343 need to come up with a way to bring people back in once they have fully ironed out issues? It isn't necessary by any means, but I think some kind of goodwill gesture would help negate some of the population loss from people getting annoyed and thinking of trading in or something. Idk what though. Extend Halo 5 beta? Special emblem/flaming skull for people who booted up between launch and that point?

Yeah. Adding someone as a "friend" actually just "follows" them. They have to follow you back to actually become real "friends," even though you already see them on your friends list.
If you go take a look at your Followers, those are people that added you. Youll have the option to add each as a friend.
