Played a bit with a friend tonight. He reported latency in Halo CE and Halo 2. We both noticed it in Halo 3 (I was the host, well if it is P2P for co-op that is) and Halo 4 was flawless. Strange that the games seem to vary with the amount of issues they have for online co-op but I'm hoping they get that worked out (if it is something they can fix) since it's one of the main reasons I bought the game.
Question for everyone, am I crazy wanting to remember them saying that we could make our own custom playlists of levels from different games and then string them together? For example, a level from CE, then 2 then 3 etc. I'm thinking that was advertised and I was looking forward to it but I can't seem to find it if it's in there.
I looked at the multiplayer and decided to wait for now with the issues and the playlist options. I was expecting each game to have some options instead of them lumped together like that but at the same time if they were all split up the populations would be real low and matchmaking might not work. I got all bent out of shape over that to my friend (I wanted Halo 2 slayer for example or just Halo CE stuff) but if I'm imagining those options too then I'll just have to suck it up and try it.
After all the trouble I was debating on just bailing out on the game and system (this is why I gave in and bought the Xbox One) but my friend is telling me to wait a bit and don't overreact. What say you GAF, am I setting imaginary standards for the game and overacting or should I wait it out a few weeks to see how it does?
