Quit the game then booted it back up. Said "Updating to the latest something something" for a second, started searching for matches.

Tried looking at "game session details" on a friend playing it and it crashed

Many of us can get into games, it's the lack of consistency that is the problem. I got into a few matches today, most of the time I was staring at the connection screen.

Man, ignoring the dreadful menu design by 343 (no surprise, Halo 4 was horrible)...this system of sending invites when none of your friends playing show up in the roster is just inexplicable.

AAA titles just aren't what they used to be. I know it will be fixed, but we're at 48 hours and it's still a joke.

If the in game leaderboards are accurate (and I'm going to assume they are since they are being so kind to me), I'm 20th in the world in time on Assault on the Control Room and 25th in the World in time on Outskirts. I will absolutely take that. I was 5th in the world on Outskirts when I finished, but that was, like, 1:00 AM Tuesday. My place will definitely take a nosedive once other people start speedrunning, but I'm damn happy as it is. Number one for Assault on the Control Room is legendary speedrunner goatrope to boot.
