I'm with you. This is worse than BF4's launch. I could at least play multiplayer whenever i wanted... joined super quick after the first 48hrs... laggy on an off... but i was playing.

Literally tired to get a game going with my friend for an hour last night. A whole hour and we couldn't play a single match. This shit coupled with the Halo CE campaign bugs I've run into, I have never been so disappointed in a new release

I don't think it was worse than BF4, I couldn't play single player most of the time nor could my single player save progress when I did get in.
Although I have been having problems with my single player progress saving, even with saving and quit, in MCC at least I can play it?

Wow, really? I had no issues at all with BF4 single player and very little after the first 2ish days in MP... getting a game wise.

This seems worse than BF4 to me so far. The multiplayer is pretty much dead. I have played three matches in two evenings worth of waiting.
I decided to try my hand at the single player tank playlist and it was glitched to all hell. Assault on the Control Room ran just fine but then it completely skipped Halo 2 and just said that I completed it. After that, I got through some of Cartographer (I don't even think this is the tank segment of the game?) on Halo 3 but it loaded up Halo 4 before I ever got to the tank part. Halo 4 ran fine and looked beautiful. The whole playlist was borked though.

I can deal with the MP being screwy right now because I love the campaigns. Problem is, there's issues with the campaigns!! lol. I know the immediate focus will be MP fixes, but I hope some attention is given to the framerate and latency issues in the campaign.

This game actually ran worse last night then launch day. I was only able to get into 3 matches in 3 hours. Completely unacceptable.
I think social matches should have servers that allow for drop and join players - like Halo 4. Even when people wait a half hour to join 1 game they quit mid match when being stomped, making the rest of the round pointless.

The precursor to these networking issues came when tournament players were getting dropped on LAN at Pax Prime and were still getting dropped during the Launch Invitational.
I thought id do a little test too, remember that big post on dedis and usa players getting the better end of the stick. Well the ten games ive played theres nearly always been one player nearly double figure kills over the rest, ive sent everyone of them a message asking them if they are from the usa, 7 replied with yes 3 didnt respond. So hmmmmmm.

I had an achievement finally pop after unlocking it on tuesday, I've been sticking to the campaign until mp is fixed

It was a thread few days back on servers and stuff, cant seem to find it atm.

Oddly, only about half of the ones I completed unlocked yesterday (I didn't even boot up the game). Doesn't bod well for the others.

Good. I hope mine pop when I get home today. I'm a little scared that my achievements and the in game rewards tired to them are going to be locked forever. Repeating the missions didn't help.
I really want the Halo 1 Master Chief avatar for my profile, but it won't unlock until the already completed(but still locked) achievement for beating Pillar of Autumn pops.
If I look under my achievements then all the ones I should have got on launch day are stuck on "Done! Unlocking..."

Rather than reintroduce fans to Halo, this game and its matchmaking problems may do the opposite and tarnish Halo and most importantly going forward, 343 industries.

When this game works it's the best thing I have ever played, but unfortunately it just simply refuses it's own destiny to be the greatest game ever.
You know if this game had a two week beta like a few months back, we wouldn't be in this position, the bugs and server strains would have been fixed. But the fact that the simplest of things IE team size and putting party members on different teams is fucked, I really think this game is going to be broken for another 2-3 weeks with a gradual turn around. Damn it all really, as now my Xbox One purchase feels lame....

Agreed. In a month, it will be interesting to see how many people are playing mulitplayer online. Being a Halo fan, this is so sad. I don't know how they messed this up

With all the threads and articles on the web currently and with people's experiences so far... i think you're right.
343 screwed themselves... hard. The blame may lie elsewhere but Halo and 343 have some seriously bad rep to wash off now. GAF might be going easy on them but have a look over on the various Bungie forums. Even the whitest of Bungie Knights are turning their swords on their master!
Shame... i just want to play some Halo online with friends.

There's really no point in rage returning a copy only to possibly miss on the patch that will fix most of the issues.
And as for the community, I think it will hardly have an impact on the long run, it's a new generation of consoles with a possible life-span of 8-9 years, ALL the Halo 1-4 MP will be available, sure it will take dips as the time moves on, inevitable, but the core fanbase will always be around.

Total stats don't work! I've played through Halo 1, 2 and 3 completely and the stats are partially filled for each campaign. For example my fastest clear time in H3 is 2:26:33 however the total time spent in H3 campaign reads 00:00:00. What's the point for a stats overview if it doesn't work!
Halo 3 campaign can stay in the 15fps range for entire levels at a time when not playing as the host, even the cutscenes have a low fps.
I'm seriously starting the doubt the quality control of this collection.

What annoys me more is that we can't view our armor colour in the menu. It stays grey no matter what colour you give it.

Going to try to get a refund for MCC in the next day or two if things aren't sorted out. I'll come back to it just prior to the H5 beta if things improve but I'm really getting tired of sending out the message that shit like this is acceptable.

Which areas? the only near crushed blacks I can see are from the H2A fmv's being a little too dark compared to the games themselves.

This is what is happening at 343i at the moment.
They're just hacking away.
To fix the slow matchmaking they upped the team size which will create more uneven teams...
They're not fixing anything just using hacks and quick workarounds to try and make the game slightly more playable.
The incompetence in this studio is extremely high. The fact they have hold of the one game I truly wanted to be amazing sickens me.

The only difference is that you won't get an achievement for doing the master chief saga playlist, outside of that one all achievements are the same.
