They have till sunday, if this shit isn't worked out by sun night halo is going back to the store. I might buy it again when it's actually worth getting but I'm sure by then I'm sure I'll have something else to play. Oh btw this bum launch just stopped 3 of my friends from buying an xbox one. Good work 343.

I was planning on getting a XB1 on Black Friday, but this launch has completely made me hold back on that. Hopefully they get this thing fixed for all you guys who already shelled out money.

How did a troublesome launch with one game make you rethink getting a console? By BF, any issues now will be gone.

The same as me bro, praying they fix it asap, but in my heart I know it won't be.....

I played Halo 4 and that took months and a TU to fix. :\

I remember Halo 4 working, though. Played it a lot when it released. And it is sad that MM is definitely not the only problem with their game.

Really annoys me that I can't see the number of deaths I have in the matchmaking career stats page, but I can see them in my player card.

Yes, I noticed that too; dumb oversight.

Without care? I don't know a single other game with as much content as this one. Delaying really isn't a option if they want to be out in time for the holidays.

Everything was hashed together by 7 different studios where there are a tons of glitches and inconsistencies. Yes, it was without care to release the product in this state. 343 should have been more involved. Microsoft's best franchise should have never been released like this. The one month gains will definitely not subsidize the reputation hit that 343 and Halo took. MCC is selling in huge numbers and have it broken is simply heart breaking. People are leaving to play other games and returning this one.

RANT: This is a general post not just aimed towards Halo.

I'm getting sick of all these fn "NEW" games that do not work on their actual release day. I got MCC for multiplayer alone. I've beaten the single player countless amount of times and have no urge to go through them again. Now I have a $60 coaster sitting on my table. Developers/publishers whoever it might be, need to stop doing this shit. Games are obviously not ready to go. Why does it require day one patches to actually get the game to work? (I understand in MCC's case that was for MP) I just bought an Xbox One and now I'm questioning that decision, because the only 2 games I got it the xbox for are barely functional. It started with bf 3 on the 360 and it just keeps getting worse. This shit gives me flashbacks of early 2000 PC days. Destiny with its constant stupid fn errors is another "completed" game. MAKE SURE YOUR SHIT WORKS BEFORE YOU SELL IT. There should be repercussions for selling a game that does not work or is half done. We should just rename this generation of consoles to THE NEVER-ENDING PATCHES generation. Sorry bout the rant but just fn had it with all this bs.

Only one thing to do.
Return the game.

Re-Purchase when the developer has done right.

I never think this but I sincerely hope AC:Unity, MCC, and DriveClub see sharp drops in the retail channel.

I see lots of people saying that they'll give 343 until the weekend or not long after to get these issues fixed. Ok. Fair enough. But with a bug list like the one they'be got, how is that realistic?

I'm not defending or attacking anyone. I want this game to work as bad as anyone here, but history shows us that botched launches take a hell of a lot longer than 4 to 5 days to bring a game up to snuff.

Even with all hands on deck, I wonder how long this will all take. It'll take as long as it takes is the obvious answer, but I'm afraid some of the arbitrary time limits imposed on 343 by some aren't realistic at all.

I'm not trying to cute be at all with this, but this is what I mean.

Listen, I agree with the sentiment, but I'm afraid there is going to be a lot of disappointment come Saturday, Sunday, Monday, etc..

However, I'll be more than happy to eat crow on this one.

Glad I am holding out for BF to get a Xbox. I am only getting one now for Halo and the price drop. Hopefully things will be fixed by then.

It's a small sample size of course... But it seems their temporary fix for matchmaking is to just loosen up the restrictions as far as ping and latency goes. Laggier games and I'm getting matched with players with gamertags like "LeedsUnitedFan" which points to them living in the UK even though I'm in the US.

I can add to this because I got my first laggy match this morning after ten minutes of searching. I haven't gotten any lag up until now.

That isn't without care... Do you guys honestly think they wanted this game to fall flat on its face out of the gate?

This isn't about a lack of care, it's about a lack of time and a insanely grandiose project to have working.

If they didn't care we wouldn't have a product anywhere close to the value of this.

is responsible for the well-being of this island.
how can a game that sounded so amazing on paper give me such sadness.

Seriously Halo 1-4 on one disc with every multiplayer map ever....

Turns into sadness. The gaming industry really is messed up when something as magical as this can turn to shit.
This. Man, I was looking forward to this collection more than anything else this year bar Smash U. I was saying this year has been nothing but a disappointment after another, but Halo MCC is going to save us, it's the one..

And here we are, my 6th day with the game and I've barely played 5 matches. This is just.. ;_;

Fuck 2014, worst year of the decade.

I don't blame you. I'm starting to come to similar conclusions if its broke over the weekend. I may just sell my Xbox since Halo is all I want on the console anyway.

I've been waiting 15 minutes to get into a game on team slayer. I took off work this week for this. So frustrating.

Don't do that lol

TRUTH. The one month gains won't be shit when people start returning the game. Which I really think should be done but nope most people just wait and wait and wait. This just seems to be a general mindset among most of the big name developers. Put it out, fix it later. This is the reason I've stopped buying EA games. I refuse to support a company that does this shit for every game they release. After the halo 4 mess and now this 343 is next on my list of developers not to buy day 1 games from.

Finally got into a game of Halo 2 on the remastered maps. While playing the campaign over again has made me remember how Halo 2's campaign is by far the worst in the series, it is so satisfying to play Halo 2 online again. And you know what it makes me think of? The Halo 5 preview really gave me the same vibe as Halo 2. If 343 can nail the classic, 4v4 arena gameplay with more modern nuances like shorter games, they will have the ticket. I will say it feels a bit weird to have to remember weapon spawn locations again but I'll get back into the swing of things.

So you agree that at some level it was without care...

Them running out of time isn't my concern, their marketing timetable isn't my concern etc. There came a point in this games development where someone decided it was OK to launch it in this state, in spite of the experience their paying audience would have.

Lan Dong Mik

And why would I want them?
Has the update I read about last night been implemented yet? I just tried getting in a team slayer game and it took 10 minutes before I gave up. I did get into a halo 2 anniversary match after waiting for about 10 minutes.

Every developer does this, including Sony studios.

One month gains aren't going anywhere, most of those consoles are bundled with Unity and Sunset Overdrive which are running fine for the most part. MCC just needs to fix MM and the game will mostly be fixed for everyone.

I don't agree it was without care at all on 343s part, they do not set their own release dates. It was Microsoft Studios that decided to launch the game without a delay.

The product has no value when most of it doesn't work or is glitchy. They didn't care enough to perfect it, and just wanted to appease with this "grandiose" project that is not complete. If they cared about maintaining the Halo name, they could have released H2A+Classic and people would have been over the moon anyway. Right now, there are tons of glitches among the MM issues. Those won't be getting fixed any time.

I don't see it as caring when the game was outsourced to 7 different studios. They care about Halo 5, but this was just a side project to make the fans water at the mouth. They bit off more than they can chew. So, if this what they call a labor of love, then I don't want their love.

You keep using the word care but I don't think you know what it means....

People need to realize Team Slayer means ar or smg starts.

Smg and ar starts are fucking trash and not fun

Some people, like me, like AR and SMG starts. If you want a BR you can go get one otherwise it makes it fair for people that don't want to be stuck using the BR.

I love this game but it's such a mess, on all fronts. Please fix soon, 343. Maybe throw in ODST as an apology. Lol

At least now I have time to play Sunset Overdrive.

Yup every developer does it, which why its so fucked up. This should not be the norm. Oh hey everyone does it, so its fine. No. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. Unfortunately majority of the general public doesn't give two shits. I would love to see a list of all the games that came out and had issues/patches on release day.

I believe Unity has some issues too. Sunset is the only game that works well. MM is not the only thing thats wrong with MCC. If you read some of the earlier posts you'll see single player is messed up too.

MM is the real issue right now, most other stuff is playable and just needs fixed with a patch.
