Halo's gameplay is also showing its age. Halo was never revolutionary to begin with. It was merely many console gamers' first introduction to competitive fps multiplayer. It did nothing new that Quake, Tribes, or Unreal Tournament had previously done. And unlike Call of Duty which evolved over time, Halo's multiplayer forumula is still the same as ever. Floaty, slow, few weapons. The exact opposite of what made so many arena shooters so good.
"Never revolutionary", but the multiplayer formula is "the exact opposite of... so many arena shooters".
That contradiction tho.
