Y'know, I'm sick and tired of street dates. So many people are getting and playing games early, there's no purpose to them other than making everyone wait to play something that's readily available.
People already have had their copies of MCC. I go on PS Live last night and a bunch of people are already playing the new AC (which looks quite nice btw). Seriously, I'm sick of being forced to wait for no reason. I'm fine with a street date so people know that's when to expect it, but when the store gets the damn thing in, let them sell it!
Edit: Or at least reward preorderers by letting them have their copy.

Still, overscan is horrible, you will lose resolution and with lcd screens there is no reason for overscan to exist whatsoever. I'm always baffled if a game wants me to adjust the "safe zone". Which TV do you have? I can't believe that you can't make the image fit your screen.
I did that exact thing this weekend with NBA 2k15.. realized I wanted a digital version rather than put the disc in on the time.. bought it digital.. no install needed it just fires up now.
You haven't read the Halo books I see.

I read it like halo 4 killed halo(definitely killed my enthusiasm for the franchise) but now halo is back

Book reference, Spartans never "die" they just get labeled MIA.
You haven't played Reach I see.
Yeah yeah, I knew it was in there too, but I remember the books much better than the Reach campaign. Those first couple were SO good.

So what alternative would you suggest? No matter the date of release people will get it early.
Spartans were never marked as KIA but only MIA.
This helped keep up morale with the troops that Spartans could not be killed. Spartans were basically their super heroes that came in and could turn the tide of a battle into their favor even with overwhelming odds. Last thing they wanted is to take away their hope I that war.
The books are awesome, really helps to better understand some of the scenes in the games.

Started my pre-order download last night. It was at 51% when I left for work this morning. I seriously cannot wait to play. Luckily, I have the next four days off after today
The way the marketplace has been with downloading games you will still be 51% by the time you get home lol!

So... If I bought the US version off the store and already have the whole thing preloaded, and I decided to drop $110 or whatever it is on the AUS version, would I have to redownload the entire thing, or would it let me use what I've already downloaded?

I can enter playlists but no matches are found when searching. I tried a few playlists too. Oh well back to H2A campaign run through.
The content on offer here makes me feel like a deer in headlights.

Yep, some mates are doing CE-4 campaigns in order. I chose Halo Channel, looked for Nightfall Ep1 (no luck yet) and decided a quick spin through normal H2A before some MM then back to legendary solo H2.
I don't know if anybody here has encountered this problem. I downloaded the MCC before the 15gb update became available. Now that the 15gb is available it says its "updating", but for some reason it is downloading the whole game again. Is there a way to get the console to reconcile the data? as I don't have enough data to download 60gb. Is there any solution?
