I'm pretty satisfied right now.

The initial matchmaking time is still long though. If 343 can fix that, then this game is GOAT.

I was out of town for most of the week and was just able to start playing today. I can't believe they shipped this game in the state that it is. There is no excuses for this but you're sure quick to take my money MS.

Not exactly. 343 could've taken on the project themselves in making a proper solo Halo 2: Anniversary. MCC is just too sloppy, broken and unfinished for the most part. It's just ridiculous to see how it even got 9 ratings at this state. Cut out Halo 1, 3 and 4. Focus just on making the best Halo 2 remake you can possibly can for the next-gen platform.

Take off the nostalgia goggle and all we have left with is a pitifully rushed product.

Well that was fucking crummy. I went to a terminal in Halo 2, activated it. The Xbox flipped to the Halo Channel, and when it came back to MCC it forced me to update. Losing my progress since I last saved. Great way to do the terminals, guys. This sucks.

I miss my college buddies as we grew and shared time on both Halo 2 and 3 on split screen. In Halo 2, just a total domination on one Xbox vs. the world on team slayer.

Can't believe that all happened on 64 MB of DDR1 RAM for Halo 2.

So, I managed to get into a Team Slayaer game. The choices:

Team BRs @ Midship (Halo 2)
Team BRs @ Foundry (Halo 3)
Team Slayer @ Damnation (Halo 1)

...and fucking Foundry got voted.

It's because people see Halo 3 and vote for it. Infuriating as hell seeing as how Halo 2 and CE could no longer be played online for console users.

Today at launch I was able to find a match and enter in another line and get stuckes before the match.

Now I cant find any match.
Like... None at all.

God damn... I think I cant even express my frustration with this matchmaking anymore.

I don't mind Halo Channel when it works. I click a terminal, it jumps me over, I watch a thing, I jump back. *shrug*

The obvious reason it was done this way is because it's 100000 times easier to develop Terminal support independently as an app (app's are basically websites) and just have clicking a Terminal activate a simple deep link into another app.

I think 343 pooled resources from the Halo entertainment department and spent it on Blur.

While I appreciate the results, the transition between cutscene to game is extremely jarring.

Maybe it's just a passive aggressive move to let Microsoft see how good a Halo movie would be.

So far every time i see halo 3 nobody votes for it. Usually halo 2 and ce get votes instead.
Ill take that as a good sign that ALL these games will have players.

It took me about 15 minutes but I finally got into a match.

It was Team BRs on Lockout.

It was a really close match. 48-50

My team lost but it was really fun with no noticeable lag.

Next match immediately after was 3v3 TS on Damnation.

Lost that one was as well but it sure was fun.

I'm hoping they get the matchmaking problems sorted before too long because I'm going to be playing this game for a very long time.

Knowing what you're missing out on makes the issues even more frustrating.

Had the same problem. Was really frustrating seeing others report playing games but I was having zero luck. I ran the network tests from the XB1 Settings and the multiplayer test reported a problem.

My NAT was reporting Strict. Rookie mistake, I know, but I'd recently gotten a new router and had not opened the ports. Something to check.

The next MM game I tried, I got in. 3v3 Classic Halo 2.

Could be placebo for the advice I'm suggesting.

I wait 3-5 seconds before selecting a playlist I want. I let it sit on the highlighted portion then press it. I don't jump and mash the A button as fast as I can like Call of Duty or TitanFall.

Kind of reminds me the old days on how to start matchmaking.
