Halo The Master Chief Collection |OT| Halo Never Died, It Was Just Missing In Action

This has to be killing halos reputation. Not good..... Especially after 4....

Honestly I'm not sure why anyone who was a serious fan would care anymore. It's literally not from the guys who made it what it was to begin with. I grew up with the series but I can't even bother feeling anything about this tbh.

It's because people like having fun. This game is fun. That's really all there is to it for a lot of people.

Oh, and "serious fans" lolololol

So I decided to remake the Cage from Halo Reach. What do you guys think?

The pic is a little fuzzy.

I've been in Halo MCC for an hour now. Had one game. 3 crashes. The rest at matchmaking screens.

Anybody playing customs?

I need to know one thing..

.. does the Lockout remake have the Lockout Forge World pieces on it?

Nope. Only has the Building Blocks, Bridges and Platforms, Decorative, Doors Windows and Walls, and Inclines categories. You could still probably remake it even with just those pieces were it not for the fact that there's no space since the invisible walls tightly surround the map.

Looks good. Do a run-through and post video. Keep in mind it was developed in a game that had sprint and jetpack and 3X scope DMR, so you'd need to adjust slightly.

Next start working on Sword Base with emphasis on oddball variant.

Even if I get into a game, people are either idle or the teams are uneven causing one team to get crushed. This makes me so sad, this is really hurting Halo's reputation.

People are idle because there posting on the Internet saying "I'm in a game!" Or maybe that was just me the other night :)

Man, I just hope by the time they fully fix this people will still actually play it.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
I played some games with my best friend. the matchmaking system put us half the time on opposite teams, but I'll be dammed if it wasn't fun.

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.

Same, I at the very least expect them to fix it by Xmas, hopefully a lot sooner. If it isn't by then though this game will be forever dead as the Halo's on 360 are.

There will always be people playing especially until Halo 5 comes out. But they definitely blunted all their initial hype and momentum. This seemed like a game everyone with an Xbox One wouldn't put down, and instead people are getting refunds within 3 days of launch.

Launch night is always the most important. It's what literally hundreds of thousands of people remember best. Then comes launch week, where people buy or have it delivered in the coming days and then the first weekend where kids/adults have time off to finally play. Then comes launch month, this is the general learning period. Most play as much here to learn the maps, learn the game types etc. After launch month you always get a drop off as people feel, okay, I've played enough and move on. Usually you see a bump in the holidays due to Christmas and gifts and time off from work or school.

I'm afraid though, the fact the matchmaking patch is coming next week, launch week is a bust too. And now they have till the end of November to get this all ironed out. Otherwise people will leave the game and move on. Even if it's Halo. It happened to Gears 2 which just never recovered. The one trump card is the fact the Halo 5 beta starts in December. This will definitely bring some people back.

I started playing SP H2A last night, almost shed a tear at the main menu, its been a long time since I heard those monks, then at the campaign selection screen remastered music from each game is played based on what game campaign you viewing. Wonderful touch, you can tell this was made by people that love Halo. Nailed it.

To all those saying H2 IS SLOW and needs sprint. Please stop playing Halo (sorry to sound harsh) the movement is so refreshing, sprinting and rewarding peoples ADD should stay with COD etc. Leave Halo alone.

Sorry, but while I've played Halo as long as you the sprint was a breath of fresh air. I was never fond of the floaty jumps and slow movement, especially with the backtracking involved. Sprint was in every way an improvement and helped feel in every way more like a spartan super soldier, like a walking tank.

I too am getting the crash to dash when pressing 'Y' to view the previous games stats.

Also the Halo game is causing probs with me connecting to the Destiny servers. Even if I have the game open for 5 seconds, if I then switch to Destiny I get the 'marionberry' error and I have to restart my console. After the restart Destiny works with no problems.

What a huge mess.

I agree with you on this.

Politely disagree.

Sprinting encourages more overly aggressive (and potentially stupid) COD like game play. I'd prefer to keep that mentality out of Halo as much as possible.

Even with sprint in Halo 4 I found myself trying to avoid using it that way when I caught someone who was in mid sprint, I'd drop them fast because they simply weren't ready.

Wait a couple of days until the bugs soak in. You'll be questioning whether they care about the collection at all.

I am blown away by how good Halo 2 campaign still plays on Legendary. I could totally think I am playing a current gen game. Shows how little game mechanics and AI have actually evolved in the last 10 years. Can't wait to do Halo 3 and Halo 4.

Okay, so the multiplayer is broken atm. How's the singleplayer? I've heard reports that it's buggy as hell, but is that still the case?

Agree. A lot of my friends and I were super excited for this. After wasting hours trying to play online together, we all gave up and stopped talking about MCC when we were discussing it a lot. This launch really killed the momentum for a lot of people which is important since it is a remake, where people are less inclined to buy ahead. It really needed to come out with a bang and spread by word of mouth as a killer title. I imagine me and my friends will go back to it next week but we stopped caring for MCC more.

Does anyone know if the achievements are fixed or still glitched?

I was just playing the PC version of Halo CE and for the first time ever I noticed a faked(?) god rays in the game.
Pretty neat stuff for an ancient game.

I'm playing halo 1 on this..I notice when I flip to old gfx it runs a lot smoother. Are the updated gfx really 60fps for the campaign because it doesn't feel that smooth to me...

Cross posting 'cause I'm a whore.

Halo 4 on Xbox 360:
dmwTAd.gif

and
Halo 4 on Xbox One (30 second clip. Same puddle)

That's... a disappointment. It's essentially Halo 2 quality water with a slightly better shader now. Why would they have to downgrade anything? Makes me wonder what else they did. Lighting looks a bit more sterile, perhaps. Though that could just be the Xbone and its weird colour output. But then you still have stuff like this when things load in (30 second clip. Exactly as it happened) and frequent dips below what seem 30 in regular gameplay.

This whole game is a mess.

Man, Halo 3 is so much more fun on Heroic than Halo 2. In Halo 2 it would often go "shoot through most of magazine and not kill that elite or brute, get hosed down with fire, recharge in cover, rinse and repeat" while in Halo 3 I'm costantly moving forward (atleast on the first level so far).

I'd equate Halo 3's legendary to Halo 2's heroic.

Brutes were absolutely shocking in Halo 2 though. Not looking forward to that legendary run

It's Halo. They'll come back. This isn't some semi obscure title like Space Marine where week 1 online issues murdered an already niche audience
I bet this becomes a "games with gold"
Then everyone will own it
This has become a really bad look, probably killing all hope of getting other multi-player "game collection" in the future

You know what's funny? CE has some of the fastest movement and strafe speed in the series, even if it feels a little floaty. It's also the only game I've played now where I haven't felt like sprinting. I hate sprint with a passion, but I won't lie that two years of Halo 4 and the Reach before that have me trying to sprint at times.

It's as if it just isn't needed in CE and I see no reason to feel like sprinting. I spawn, whip out my pistol and go to town with shots, grenades, trying to secure key areas. Halo 2 I've tried to sprint a few times trying to get a power weapon or reach an area of the map, but it's not bad. Halo 3 has been the worst. I feel like my Spartan is crawling. It never felt this way to me. It's almoet unbearably slow. Not only in campaign but multiplayer. And it makes me think, is the reason we get so used to sprint because the movement speeds had declined with each significant game that we really wish we could go faster? If they increased strafe and movement speed for Halo games, would sprint have still been needed as much if you were definitely moving and feeling faster?

There was a game update. However it says it is not aimed at multiplayer issues.

strange I did not get an update my xbox was really shutdown, and even after I started the game I did not get an update notification

..and I rather have them fix the SP first so I can at least play something without bugs or glitches.

343 should send us all check, all dis free QA

Get that free Reach and ODST dlc ready.

All games post Halo 2 are a lot more forgiving when it comes to Heroic difficulty. Melee is a lot more effective, headshots are a lot easier to land. I can easily hold my own on Heroic in Halo 3, ODST, Reach and Halo 4, but I'm not looking forward to playing Halo 2 on that difficulty.

Legendary is going to be a bloodbath.

If you have your box set, it will download automatically. I caught my Xbox downloading a patch for D4 this week when I was randomly at the My Games and App page under queue without notification.
