All this game is doing is hurting the future of XB1. They fucked up badly with this release. I expect games to work day 1 for my 60 dollars, not wait "a week" or more.
Plenty of games haven't worked on day one. It's not really acceptable, but it seems to be happening with greater frequency. Especially games with a meaty online component that has to deal with possibly hundreds of thousands of concurrent connections. Sometimes you just have to ride it out, knowing that they aren't going to desert the game considering it just released. Diablo 3 is an equivalent example, and they largely got that game back on track after a terrible launch.
Not to mention that the game is the flagship for the X1 for the coming year. Given what Frankie has told us, they are busting they hump to get things ironed out. He's been involved in this community for quite sometime, so I'll take his word for it that they'll get it fixed.
I know the glory that is Halo MP/MM, so I'll stick it out until they resolve it. Never hurts to have a little patience.
Try being brand new to Halo multiplayer. I'm getting my ass handed to me and many times its questionable. But there's no kill cam to show me how I died, so it's die and run right back out there with my pea shooters not always knowing what happened.
I hope objective matches are halfway fun because I'm not feeling this game at all.
I'm not a fan of the killcam. Takes an element of surprise out of the game. As far as the game in general, it just comes with time. You'll learn how to move efficiently through the maps, how to communicate, what weapons are best for a given situation, as well as improving accuracy both in grenades and with weapons. The largest part is getting together with a good group of teammates. If you learn to work together, you'll always beat non-organized teams, and be more competitive with teams with more organization and skill.
Once MM is on track, the skill levels should start to change. Right now you are likely being lumped in with people who are way more skilled/experienced, but they are playing on your level simply because they can't get a good quantity of games to move up. You'll probably see more players at your skill level once the MM issues are fixed.
