This is the most jarring thing for me in H2A. After 10 years of playing Outskirts and having the end of the mission immediately transition into Chief walking up to Michelle and David, seeing the static loading screen now just feels weird.

I can deal with the loading screens, personally. I'd rather have those than that godawful pop-in we had back in the day.

Stuff like not having music carry through or the cutscene taking place in full daylight and then the game starts off at night are a lot worse for me.

That's a bummer. One of the great things was the seamless of the original games and not being made aware that 'another level has started, yo'

I'm going to take a guess that to get the unified UI working, they probably just configured the original campaigns like playlists, and it just loads them in sequence, probably dumping and reloading the Halo 2 engine between each one.

I had something similar happen to me. 343 Guilty Spark ended, and I got a loading screen for Two Betrayals right after. Then the Library did start, but in the menu the game assumed I was playing Two Betrayals. I saved and quit to menu. When I wanted to resume, it started Two Betrayals instead.

The game only lasted for a minute before it ended for no reason. I don't even understand how something like that can happen.

Played Split-Screen Matchmaking with my older brother yesterday, here is what he hated:

- Frame-rate is all over the shop with Halo 4 and Halo 2A, they should just cap it at 30fps for Split-Screen if it is going to be that bad.

- Unlike every other Halo game, both people only counts as 1 vote, making there be overall less voting in a game. Imagine a Team Slayer match with only 2 4 Player Split-Screens...there'd be 2 votes only.

- Matches always say "Match Incomplete" at the end.

- I think one of the Recon Control Settings for one of the games (think Halo 4), it only says "Use Second Weapon", not "Throw Grenade/Use Second Weapon" like EVERY OTHER GAME IN THE COLLECTION.

- Can't see how Spartan Armor colours look when customizing.


It's like 343i just do not care for split-screen anymore when 2-4 players count as 1 vote only and the framerate is sub-par.

Or maybe they just aren't capable. How in the world after H4 and this do they expect people to accept the changes in H5? Not me man, who cares about the beta, it probably won't work anyway.

Same exact thing happened with me and a friend. We beat AOTCR and it said it was loading the Library, yet when it finally loaded, it was 343 guilty spark. We backed out of the game, and it said that we were on the library on our play through and that we had beaten 343 guilty spark on legendary. Weird thing is we didn't get the achievement for it, so hopefully it isn't glitched.

That's what I'm wondering.. Like how is shit this fucked up? How did they not notice any of the problems that we are experiencing. I honestly don't believe it.

I mean, they were giving out copies to reviews a week or two early, and I read about them not being able to find games quickly and they couldn't figure out why. So obviously, it was known that it was fucked and no one cared.

Pisses me off I bought this, but I love halo so I'll wait for it to be fixed I guess. Just some real battlefield 4 levels of fucked up.

After I fixed my NAT issue its been working perfectly for me except for teams being uneven.

Same here. I fixed my router's NAT yesterday around the same time the patch dropped. Don't know which it was, or if it was both, but I'm getting in games easily now. Takes maybe 3-5 minutes, but it works.

Had an awesome BTB crazy king game that was really competitive -- both teams appropriately going for the hill. Very close game and tense at the end. Lovely.

Tried both Halo 1 & 2, too outdated for my taste (but might return again to them after finishing Halo 4)


As for multilayer I tried every mode, zero matches, it keeps searching forever.

On the other hand I get matched in 1-5 seconds in CoD:AW.

I got 3 achievements for watching a cutscene. I don't think there is a single aspect of this game that isn't screwed up in some way.
