Has anybody noticed the mixing of the announcers VO from 2 different games for H2A? It's pretty obvious.

WTF is that shit. It still blows my mind that they have been putting some kind of tin can filter on his voice since Halo 4. I am not a professional audio designer but I can tell that sounds like ass. I am really starting to wonder about the people employed at 343. Just listen to how the dude bro Spartans in H5 sound when they talk non stop during the game. Why dose the announcer need to tell you everything that's going on? Next he will yell "you are getting shot" Ever time you get shot.

Just beaten Halo 3, now got Halo 4 next on the list.

Tried both Halo 1 & 2, too outdated for my taste (but might return again to them after finishing Halo 4)

As for multilayer I tried every mode, zero matches, it keeps searching forever.

On the other hand I get matched in 1-5 seconds in CoD:AW.

Halo 1 and 2 are absolute musts

Latest from executive producer Dan Ayoub. Matchmaking patch targeted for Wednesday.

I'd like to provide the latest on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and what the team is working on to address the issues you’re experiencing.

Looking at our data logs, server-side adjustments that we have made over the past 24 hours have shown a 20% increase in server connectivity. However, we are well aware that performance is not where it needs to be. Resolving Matchmaking issues also requires client-side fixes, which require a content update. The client side update, which focuses on Matchmaking performance, non-matchmaking bugs, and a variety of title-specific issues, has been completed and is going through testing and certification. We are currently targeting a release of Wednesday 11/19 for this content update.

We know the current Matchmaking experience is frustrating, and we continue to have various teams working 24/7 to isolate and resolve the issues to provide the best experience as soon as possible. We are going to continue to optimize the matchmaking experience after next week's content update, and make further adjustments as needed. We thank you for your continued patience.

Yeesh, H2A looks way worse than CE due to the upscaling. Really nasty IQ. They should have just matched the IQ of CE and H3 so that everything looked pretty much the same. Frame rate seems far more unstable too.

They really botched the shit out of this.

343i should be embarrassed. This is truly laughable. The multiplayer is virtually unplayable the first weekend after launch, and they pretty much tell us to wait over a week after release. What a bunch of tools. Gotta love how Microsoft is still pushing this broken piece of shit in the Xbox One store.

I've been finding lots of matches today

VO budgets :v Someone forgets to have a line recorded, just pull it from somewhere.

Bungie did this in Halo 3's campaign.. they re-used a Gravemind line directly from Halo 2.

"We exist together now, two corpses, in one grave."

I thought that was to reference back what Gravemind said during Halo 2 though, as in halo 3 it was one of those flashback moment things.

Just like how EA pushed Battlefield, Rockstar pushed GTA, Sony pushed DriveClub. and its not unplayable. Its slow and crashing at times. But since past 2 days, I have been finding matches consistently. But because of all the crash, I stopped playing it. And waiting for the update.

I worry that if this patch doesn't resolve issues we are boned, but after all these halo games and halo 4 having a reasonably good matchmaking (maybe not straight away) then the MCC should get a lot better.

Keep defending. Your precious Halo. Defend away. Also, I said virtually unplayable. There is no excuse for a game to be released in this state. It's another case of "fuck it it's our flagship title, get it out for holidays no matter what."

It was unacceptable for EA, Rockstar and any other developer that does it. It is unacceptable here. It shouldn't be a situation in which "some people" can find games. Anyone that paid for it should be able to play the multiplayer without this much hassle.

So 343 is doing this on purpose so that we all play Halo 5 next fall and not this game. Dark times.

that actually be funny if true. Hopefully they fix that asap. Me and my friends couldn't join up today and play. it sucked.

Is there a reason why if the patch is done they can't get it to us earlier?

pardon the ignorance, just have never anxiously awaited a patch like this.

It has to go through certification. I too am not exactly an expert on it, but it basically has to go off to MS for testing and clearance before being pushed out and that obviously takes time. It's always been a bummer. PC games can patch faster because the patches (to my knowledge) don't have to go through a third party before being released.

It has to go through a certification process to make sure it doesn't break stuff within the Xbox One itself or cause more problems. The cert process used to take about 2 weeks. Now, it's about a few days.

Well shit, I don't think any of this game was actually tested. They should skip that part and just give it to us.
Seems par for the course.

Got games no problem this after noon. But in the games when I died the respawn timer would say 4 and just stick there for way too long. Then others would die and the game was just sitting there for what seemed like over a minute or more.

I do love hearing people get so mad at this game. Shit there is more to life than this game. Come on now it sucks but why get so mad and cunty about it? Between some of the posts here, facebook, twitter, and the other venues that Bungie has been out there talking about it you would think it is the only thing in some peoples lives.

I would think that gaf of all places would be a bit more understanding being that one of the people on the team is here and being up front with some of the info. Also people here would understand that this was either pushed out way too early or whatever the problems are but that it is a massive undertaking and it will be working soon. It has been getting better for me at least. Maybe it's just that I am older and have a job, kid, wife and all that to take me away from the hate that this game is generating. The single player has been a blast co-op and my wife has never played some of it so its neat to see her reaction to it for the first time. Still a better experience than destiny for us and we bought another xBone for that fucking disaster of a game.

Nice job there.

And yeah, then I can focus on the real issues...

...like asking 343 to cap the fps to 30fps for split-screen or at least make it goddamn bearable.

I can't play Bloodline by only staring at the floor, you know.

Brother came round today after like 2 months of not seeing him as he wanted to check out The Chief. The games we found we liked, except Halo 4 and H2A where the frames dived. Can't even spend time remembering how things were 10 years ago when we played split-screen. :/

We ended up playing Mario Kart, which has shorter loading times, more solid frames on Split-Screen Online and actually allows a map vote for Split-Screen users to count as 2.

I'ma fight for my right for equal voting for Split-Screen users! Stop oppressing us!

Has 343 been working on this and Halo 5 at the same time? They should've honestly outsourced the Halo 1 remake, Halo 3, and Halo 4 content to bluepoint, while working on the Halo 2 remake themselves, have less unified matchmaking across the board, and be more selective of what multiplayer content/maps to bring over.

What they were going for was too ambitious and needed a lot more time, given how the game was developed.

They outsourced a ton of the game. That's probably why it doesn't work too well. Too many cooks.
