I wait 3,4 or 5 minutes, back out, try again. Wait again, back out, try a different playlist, rinse, repeat.

Sorry, I already wasted a week of recreational leave on this game, I shouldn't have to waste more of my limited personal just waiting around for a broken game to MAYBE get to play a match made game.

Especially when I've done SO much already on my end to try and meet the developers conditions. I've been fucking around with my modem, console, deleted and reinstalled a 60GB game, the lot.

Ridiculous.

I was worried that MCC was responsible as it crashed the last time I played it.

The stereo adapter is working fine for me but when I do that weird party chat combo with myself with the Cronus adapter so I can chat with a 360 controller the audio starts sounding a little funky.

It's really not a matter of doing it right, Aussie games are shite and have been since launch. I've been watching over 40+ people on my friends list with the game and I'd estimate I've only ever seen less than 5 listed as in a matchmade game. I've had conversations almost nightly with various customs groups asking exactly that or listening to such conversations over and over. I've been in customs since launch and LAN this weekend past, both of which are a total pain in the arse to arrange and crash/boot players then have to be reformed again and again.

I have faith things will be sorted and I'm under no illusion the latest patch will be a 100% fix for everything. I'm just after stable parties and matchmaking. It's not up to gamers at this point, it's the game/matchmaking systems screwing things over.

When you have 8 X1's on the same router and still can't get all players to join customs easily then matchmaking has zero chance at being stable. When simple features like promote a party member to leader aren't there customs aren't going to go smoothly. For the record I've attempted matchmaking a number of times each day, on two different modem/routers and all manner of NAT, DMZ etc. It's as simple as the game/matchmaking is FUBAR.

I have no ill feelings or anger and I genuinely feel for any developer that finds themselves with such issues at launch. I just wanted to clarify a tech-savvy perspective with plenty of LAN and customs experience since launch to alleviate the question "could it be something gamers aren't doing?".

That feeling that I thought I would get from going back to the old multiplayer and have all of the memories coming back didn't come. I've played a couple of online matches, but without the sense of community, the multiplayer just feels soulless. Maybe when 343 releases the patch tomorrow everything will be fixed, but I doubt that will happen. I'm going to take a guess and say that the online population numbers for this game will end up a lot like Halo 4's.

I truly hope this launch hasn't shot the MCC population in the proverbial foot. At least if things are sorted for XMAS there should be a good word of mouth and influx of players then. That said, however, there is no avoiding that this launch has hurt.

There is no way this thing is running smoothly by Christmas. Fixing something this broken that is retail and in the hands of thousands of players with unending variables to address has to be a nightmare of a task. The community will have moved on to the hardest of the hardcore which I guess in some ways might be a good thing

I want to just get a refund for this game, but I just can't get myself to do it. The promise of having all of the Halo multiplayers is too good even though I know it will never be in a bug free state.

This was supposed to be a guaranteed success. Really disappointed that I was compelled to stop playing less than a week after release as I wait for issues to be fixed.

Yeah, when I started Quarantine Zone I was wondering if there was some bug and textures didn't load because it was all grey in grey. Original looks better.

New XB1 owner, so I apologize for the dumb question: is it OK to continue my CE campaign offline? I see some reports of save files getting desynced when you go offline then back online, and losing progress.

There's been a general problem where check points won't stick. I'm not sure what you've read, but this issue seems to be specific to H2.

Not true cuz I lost my Halo CE checkpoints quite often when I quit and start again (only a few times did they actually load correctly)

Wait, I just booted up multiplayer and I got an indicator that said "downloading the latest match making data". Is this new and perhaps related to a fix? I've never seen or heard of this screen. It only lasted about 10 seconds.

No its been saying that to me every time I start the game and try to play MM. I have to wait like 5 min for nothing. Servers are down right now but that really dose not make a difference with the MCC.

I think it's clear the game was rushed and we all know that it should have been delayed. But we should take the delayed patch as (hopefully) a good omen.

A delayed patch can eventually be good, but a rushed patch is forever bad.

I really want this to work in order to pull the trigger on a xbone + mcc bundle. Do it 343i.

No matter what they say i don't think i'll be convinced they didn't know the game had problems prior to release.

What's this "Syncing for data" thing happening when I start up my Halo game? I can only pick the offline option cuz it dont sync.

Watching a lot of the Pro Player streams and most of them are jokingly saying, "Gonna need you to quit the Build." Apparently the Invitational tournament had a bunch of Build resets and crashes, and the tournament directors said that over and over during warmups.

Games been busted for about a minute.

And yet many of them continue to try to shill for this crap. If I wasn't so into halo I'd return the damned thing. Zelda was already killed for me, Halo is on its way.
