Also, the Boxer button configuration for Halo 1 is still messed up. Throw grenades is still set to RB, which is WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Those who are playing. Not everyone has the patched installed. I was playing without patch installed. I had to restart my box to get it to update. This early of impressions are probably not 100 percent representative of what it will be like once everyone has it installed.

Two matches down, this 3rd one is taking ages to find anyone, it will keep saying players found / connecting to server but fails and repeats.

If this keeps happening it might be related to staying in a group after a played match.

*edit* you get a popup saying matchmaking unsuccessful if you back out to the menu, can that box not appear before then to let me know???

That's the best part, just yell callouts over their trash talk and go positive in the K/D column. Maybe they will learn to get good instead of vomiting into their mics, if not, at least you can laugh at the dumb shit being said.

EDIT: Gavin, you sure you weren't Host? Every time I read/hear "like playing over LAN" I get suspicious, even Dedi's can't remove latency, so you were probably just host.

Finding full rooms now and no issues once inside the game still a little bit slow on finding players.

Halo 2 has connection markers now but oddly enough Halo 3 doesn't.

Improved fall damage consistency (specifically in regards to uneven surfaces)

This still seems to be a problem still, I lose health and shields when jumping on uneven surfaces.

Those of you having success, searching solo?

The party system has still messed up for me. When we finally managed to group up after a few attempts it took a while to find a game. When we did, it kicked my friend back to the main menu during the "players found" screen.

Oh and then I backed out during a search once to try switching playlists. Party didn't stay together

Now I'm searching solo for a few minutes and it keeps going between "players found" and "searching for more players..."

exactly what I get.

Try restarting the game. Couldn't find a match for the longest time. Restarted Halo and got matched up in 30 sec. Probably just luck but worth a shot.

First attempt, and the search was for about 2 minutes, then it kicked both of us out of the lobby. 2nd attempt took about 2 minutes again, but we found a match of Halo 3, which was fun. Needs to be turned down into 4V4 though, which I know they will do at some point.

But then at the end of the match I backed us out to go to the lobby and it separated both of us still. We've been searching for a new match for over 5 minutes now though :|
