I'm gine with no Halo 4 right now since most of us played a lot on the 360, and most people are here to play CE-2A's multiplayer to begin with.

There was one at launch, but they removed it the same week, I think. 343i doesn't hate their own game, but they openly admitted that mistakes were made with Halo 4, while the population was dying slowly.
As far as I know, the last patch also applied the Turbo update for Halo 4.
Why would you play Halo 4 anyways?
Because Halo 4 wasn't all that terrible when played outside of it's Infinity gametypes?
Too bad that's what everybody seemed to pick when I tried playing it though. :/
Once they start fleshing out the playlists though, I hope they start mixing in non-Infinity Halo 4 gametypes with restricted Loadouts.

So are we starting to see some more reliability in matchmaking or does this still a wildly different experience for people, YMMV style?
Experiences still seem pretty inconsistent. Some are experiencing drastic improvements, while it isn't much better from the situation at the game's launch for others.
[EDIT] - Wow. Just got a game of Team Slayer BR on Lockdown started in under 30 seconds.
"Failed to join session" error message loops yesterday.
Players found.
Joining session.
Failed.
Repeat for 15 minutes.
Launched TitanFall instead.
Sigh.
Anecdotal since it seems like other people have no issues. These latest updates seem to have make it worse for me. First it was no more dedis and now no more games.

The patch has been a wonder so far. Matchmaking is smooth now. Teams start uneven but they do even out. Still not what it should be, but they are working on it I guess. What's strange is that this patch seems to work for some and not for others. I truly feel for those who still cannot play.

This last patch has been great. Played for 3 hours last night with my buddies and we were having the best time. This Halo MCC is a pretty great thing when it works.

This has been my experience as well, the only bug I run into now is the map not loading and going to game over screen but at least it still puts you back in the party after that!

It also introduced so many unnecessary mechanics and other stuff, like the mech walkers which were just the worst. It's certainly not a bad game, it's just not a great Halo game.
I mentioned earlier in the thread that most of the small to mid-size maps were kinda bad. There were two particular smaller maps that popped up rather frequently in Team Slayer that I especially loathed.
Many of the larger, Big Team maps were serviceable though.
You're probably just bad.

Team slayer worked great for me last night. Finally got with a group that voted for a Halo CE match. It was so much fun. I can join any playlist except for BTB. It is very weird, I have never successfully joined a BTB match. I hope they bring back the Halo 4 playlist soon.

I kinda dug that part of H4!
I recently played through co op with a buddy, it was kinda nice having to switch strategies up and try to get the attention of one of the knights while my buddy shoots the little circle wing guy.

I'm probably alone in this, but I really want a team snipers playlist, I don't care what games it includes... I'm betting it comes as a rotational playlists in the coming months though.
I'm sure they'll do a Team Snipers. It's just a matter of keeping it permenant and not playing musical chairs with playlists. :/
Team Snipers and SWAT on dedicated servers would be amazing.

Really? I absolutely hated BTB in Halo 4, and its usually my favorite social gametype. Vehicles were absolutely useless when people can spawn with plasma pistols and plasma grenades.

Great, so not only does the matchmaking barely work at all, but I have to deal with assholes like you who quit in the 1/100th chance that I actually get in a game.
Halo 4 enemy design is almost the exact same as Destiny... Its uncanny how similar they are.
Yet it gets voted for the most from what I witnessed

My only complaint with CE games is that they go so quickly. A CE match is typically complete within like 4 minutes.

I gotta say, cross game multiplayer playlists are so fun my venom towards 343 is slowly going away now that they are working-ish

It's the best game mode by a mile. Especially in Halo 4. It's the only mode in Halo where any lag doesn't completely ruin the experience.

Why would they? It is basically the majority opinion that BR starts are better. Even Bungie realized this in Halo 2 and 3.

I didn't really put too much time into H3 multiplayer, i could never remember why.
Then I got a few games of it and totally remember why.
H2a/H2 > CE > 4 > 3. At least in my book.

lol, agreed. They are fun as hell though. 4v4 ANYTHING on Battle Creek is still my jam.
