I barely had time to look at anything this morning. It looks like there are tons of things to go through before even diving into a game.

It's fine in classic mode but Anniversary mode is not at all.

I hate to beg but is there anyone that would give me their bandana skull code? I had to buy digital bc I'm out of town and couldn't download the 20gb patch. I wanna beat the campaigns on legendary and that'll help alot

I didn't understand how someone could review a game as being too much of a time sink and not having enough content at the same time. But after waiting 30 minutes to find a game and having it crash, I think I understand what they were getting at.

I wonder if the shit matchmaking is due to everyone needing a gigantic patch before getting online? Just not enough games availability maybe....sigh.

Probably a combination of stress on the xbox live service itself with all the downloads of the digital versions, and the 15GB patch for both retail and digital users, and the fact that they're running multiplayer servers that supports multiple games that really haven't been stress tested out in the wild either. Makes me wonder if a small multiplayer beta could've helped lessen the impact of that.

So I'm assuming when people couldn't find any games last week it wasn't because of low player count due to them getting it early. Just shitty matchmaking.

Felt the same way last night. Finished up the pillar of autumn before going to bed.

I'll repeat what I said though.

Halo:CE legendary is unforgiving as hell. I don't remember it being so brutal. I'll admit I am a bit rusty, but hot damn! What a rush hehe.

My game was 59.1GB (digital pre-download) I tried to start it this morning and it just went to Updating 100% and just sat there. I hope it's actually doing something and that I'll be able to play when I get home from work.

I am a bit worried.. this feels like it is Broken.. and not just a small or easy fix.. I understand the complex situation with 4 games (5 with H2A) being pulled into the same matchmaking system but I am worried they released it knowing this was in a way broken.

MS and 343 need to fix this faster than any other launch issue... they had so much positive pre launch hype.. it will turn ugly fast if this lingers much longer.

Matchmaking and the party system need to be fixed ASAP!

So after I join a TDM match when it finally works, you have to go back to the menu and choose again? Is that right? Seems silly.

I won't get home until maybe 5 hours from now. I want to go back to that magic time when I could skip an entire week from school so I could play Halo. But not now: go to work, make your own dinner, wash your own clothes...*sigh

at least I'm getting next week off work :D

All 3 versions of "Lockout" are available in the game

The original Lockout (Halo 2)
"Blackout" from Halo 3 DLC
And the lockout remaster from Halo 2 Anniversary (the same of which escapes me)

It's a bit overkill, but certainly comprehensive!

You will not get banned, it even says in the help it's for friends & family. Also location doesn't matter.

3rd time I've had my game get stuck on the loading screen after a match ends. Anyone else having this issue? I've not found a way around it except to force close the game.

Just played Team Deathmatch and holy crap the lag was awful. If they patch it the game will be great, but right now it's in a lousy state.

Mine did this but then immediately went to ready to play. I'd try a hard reset if it it stuck at the updating 100%

I'll be getting this today but it's super disappointing how 343 managed to botch this. Seems like they rushed it to have a big fall game.

Blackout is the worst of the bunch. I like the remaster a lot.

Seems like all of these outsourced studios had some communication problems. I honestly don't see how a well funded game such as Halo can be released in a broken state. The temporary financial gains will not cover the reputation loss. This is just an overall rant on games being released broken.

tried matchmaking, found a game.. it says the game will start and nothing will happen except for an message who says that it did not find a host

Well, it's not that GAF has never seen a launch, but the "Power of the Cloud!!!!!" marketing might have made some people believe that the cloud could magically solve all these problems.

Yeah, I haven't tried playing yet, but the impressions in this thread make this game sound like BF4 at launch. Really, really disappointing.

This is why developers need to shut up during development. Slowly but surely more and more problems are being revealed. This was easily my most anticipated game of the year, and the fact that this collection didn't get the attention to detail it deserved really bothers me.
