How so? It seems that matchmaking at large just isn't working. And then when games start, they crash. At least this is what multiple people in this forum have said. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.

Well lets wait and see if this takes a year to fix for one.. also BF4 had some serious issues with the engine, we do not know that just yet. We are 9 hours or so from launch.. lets give them a day to sort it out before we lump it in with BF4 or any other game that had extended problems.

I am however worried due to the nature of all the things that must come together with this collection... but fingers crossed.

Fair enough -- guess I'm jumping the gun a bit. I'm really hoping that MS flips a proverbial switch on the Azure servers, and these issues get ironed out quickly. Game could be absolutely amazing.

Yeah, I haven't tried playing yet, but the impressions in this thread make this game sound like BF4 at launch. Really, really disappointing.

To be fair, in multiplayer I haven't seen anything that looked like a super tough fix. Most things just seem like server issues. I am worried about the occasional crashes, though.

Well, it's not that GAF has never seen a launch, but the "Power of the Cloud!!!!!" marketing might have made some people believe that the cloud could magically solve all these problems.

It also doesn't help that of any Halo release this has been the most horrendous without comparison. So the fact that Mm has been this broken shines a poor light on their management of development priorities imo.

I am a huge halo fan..I bought the old games 2 or 3 times for each edition (normal, limited etc) and I love the franchise.

But I am kind of disappointed about the MCC..MP does not work. framerate is not stable, crashes of the game, you can't see the colour you chose for your amor in a preview, menu is not really intuitiv.

It makes me quite sad. I hope they patch it soon.

I want it to be the best game on the xbox one. I really do.

Finally got into a match and it ran flawlessly until the end of the game and it just threw everyone back to the title screen.

Come on 343i get it sorted.

After 8 hours of lopsided teams I finally get into a full 4v4 Team Slayer. Classic Lockout. Sweet. Game randomly ends with the score 8-7. Oh. I would have tried harder if I'd known that's all we were playing to, I guess?

Just got home from work, with the game in my hand.
It will have to install and downoad the patch, so i think I'm getting some rest.
Also, digital SO, physical Forza 5 and physical MCC take 33% of my 500gb hd. WTF? :(

Yes, if it's broken it is broken. Doesn't matter to what degree. Overall, it's very disappointing for a big budget Halo game. Can't recall any Bungie games having matchmaking problems to this degree or crashing.

It's what happens when 8 different studios make one game. 343 is busy with Halo 5 - and didn't oversee this project properly. It is very disappointing.

When I can get into a game, it's amazing how well all of them hold up. In fact, oddly Halo 1 and 2 seem more modern than Halo 3 in the movement and gunplay, hard to explain. Halo 2 anniversary multiplayer is incredibly polished and feels perfect.

Hoping they fix the matchmaking soon, and maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see Halo CE only or Objective only playlists. Seems really odd.

Didn't get around to playing Halo Anniversary on the 360 but I don't care what 343 Industries have technically to the graphics but by god how the hell have they managed to make what was originally such a beautiful game look so fucking ugly. The anniversary edition really seems to be a complete misstep graphically as they seem to have used the "throw as much stuff at the screen and hope it works" methodology.

At least the classic version is included which is infinitely better design-wise. Can't help but feel that a more sensitive approach would have been far more beneficial.

Also not keen on this Halo Channel app thing, not sure why Microsoft insist on releasing separate apps for something that could be handled in-game. The same with Forza.

I managed to find and complete perfectly all 3 MP matches I tried to join yesterday night, Halo 2 Anniversary playlist.

Everything was flawless, actually. I had a blast, 60 fps makes all the difference.
Bit hard to get back to it after playing Destiny so much, specially the lack of a sprint button, but of course it becomes second nature for anyone who grew up playing system link Halo CE and 2.

Didn't have any connection problems whatsoever. After 3 matches, tried coop CE campaign, and noticed a small delay (measured around 0.3 seconds). Not unplayable, but not flawless either.

Anyone, having a blast so far. Best collection/remake by a long shot.

Edit: Halo CE looks horrible, really. Had way more fun doing original graphics. I didn't find particularly impressive on the 360, but nowadays is simply terrible from an artistic point of view. Do yourself a favor and play the campaing with the original graphics.

Having never played CEA, it looks kinda ugly, i mean the re imagination of the original seems way off base. I've only played the first level but everything looks too colorful and intricate, i don't know exactly but seems off.

I am pretty sure they did, but it's a huge project. They can only redeem themselves now with fixing the issues fast.

And why would I want them?
The performance issues are very annoying and it's bumming me out. Just played a game that was so fucking laggy. Took me about 10 minutes to get into a game. Hopefully it's running better tonight but damn I'm pretty disappointed with this launch.

Bungie did Beta test for all of their games, 343 should had done one considering this game is something never done before

Did someone has any problem with Halo 2 co-op?
Me and my friend tried those in co-op:

Halo CE: 1st attempt did it, but he was the host and I got input lag.

Halo 2 A: He tried being the host twice, at the loading screen before getting into the game he got a message saying I got disconnected, then I got a message saying the same. I tried being the host, it crashed for me once, and the next two attempts it gave the same disconnect error.

Halo 3: He was the host. 1st attempt did it. He said that for him the game was super smooth, I had some annoying frame rate problems but no input lag at all (very playable though).

But Im intrigued about Halo 2 not even connecting into a co-op game.

I think with MS's huge budgets, it was simply a matter of trying to get it out the door for the holidays. They need to fix it fast to save the community from dispersing. Right now, the competition is HOT.

Well, I remember Halo 2 launching without any major issues in matchmaking. Memory is hazy though.
