Recent news and update concerning the hit psychological thriller TV series "Hannibal" indicated that filming for its third season is now nearing to its end and in the matter of months, fans will finally see the return of the show to the small screen.
A report from Enstarz.com cited the official announcement made by executive producer Martha De Laurentiis in the production company's newsletter, earlier this week.
"The HANNIBAL cast and crew head into spring with another two months of filming episodes 310-313," the executive producer said.
"As I mentioned in last month's newsletter, John Dahl is directing Episode 310. Preparation also is underway for Episode 311, and we are excited that Michael Rymer is back to direct!" DeLaurentiis went on to say.
Previous reports pointed out that the cast and crew were taking a short break to give way for editing and other post-production activities.
But some of the crew members went on to joke that it was really because they're out of blood.
"Tomorrow #Hannibal begins its final push to finish shooting S3," boom operator Sean Armstrong went to his social media over the weekend. "I think we took the two weeks off to have extra blood made."
Meanwhile, in related plot spoiler news, fan site Hannibal Fannibals indicated in their spoiler report that based on the Red Dragon novel, the NBC show will surely see the demise of
Freddie Lounds (Lara Jean Chorostecki).
"The gossip columnist is going to be the victim of the Tooth Fairy but that doesn't mean she's going to be dying in the next season of the show," the site stated.
But will her death be violent like those portrayed in the books and in the movies?
Fans will eventually find out when Season 3 of "Hannibal" premieres in a yet to be announced summer outing date.
Spoilers sound more like fan speculation than anything else, but there are technically book spoilers there, too.
John Dahl directed S1E10, which I think is the episode where the show started firing on all cylinders to close out S1. It's also the one that legitimately scared me, as I was alone in my old house watching it late at night. He's done a lot of other TV work, too.
Rymer, of course, should need no introduction--he's worked on both seasons, among those S1E12 and S2E12. Seems like they like him for the buildup, as he's doing S3E11.
Hmm...so, if they're just filming the last four episodes, and Quinto was only recently announced as a guest star...is it reasonable to think he's in one of those episodes?

I'm not sure. I'm trying to think if it's more plausible that Bedelia would have active patients in the first half of the season or the second half, and I can't decide

The network will continue to program scripted dramas on Thursdays with Charles Manson drama Aquarius and the third season of Bryan Fuller's Hannibal starting Thursday, May 28 at 9 p.m
How did I miss this thread? Information overload. I'm actually happy it airs in the summer and on Thursdays (out if that dreadful Friday death spot). Maybe now it'll get the viewership it deserves.
Has anyone heard whether they still lack the permission to use SotL characters for next season (and possibly season 3 cameos)?
Don't think I can post the link but the official scripts for season 2 are up on Byran Fullers website. They're kind of hidden though but the links are accessible if you know the url.
