Man, and i was thinking about ghostbusters 3 after watching the first one. Gonna rewatch all his old stuff. We lost a legend

As Sartre noted in his contemplation on Hell in No Exit, the true horror is other members.
Truly sad. Well before his time. RIP.

I would like to add I can't say enough good things about Multiplicity, really enjoyed it.

A damn shame, Ghostbusters and Caddyshack are probably my favorite movies of all time.

Wasn't he in American pie as well? Or am I thinking of 'Road Trip'?

True story. I saw Richard Lewis and Jeff Garland at the Showest in Chicago. There was a line to get in the bathroom in between the two sets and everyone noticed Harold Ramis walking out of the men's room. People were talking to him and saying hi. He smiled and kind of waved, but seemed shy and embarrassed, but nice.

I bet Ghostbusters 3 goes ahead with an Egon-inspired ghost, like how John Belushi was supposed to play Venkman but instead inspired Slimer after his death.

Remember that time he tried to drill a hole in his head?

That would have worked if we hadn't stopped him.

Terrible news and the loss of a wonderful talent. Until I read the Chicago Tribute obituary I'd had no idea that Ramis worked on the all powerful National Lampoon Radio Hour. Hearing "Terminal Football" might be a bit more irony than I can take right now, so I'll recommend folks listen to "The Immigrants" for an example of his NatLamp work.

Also, here's my favorite tribute so far, courtesy of Rubber Chicken Comics:

If only we could reverse the polarity flow through the gate. RIP Harold Ramis.

Man, one of the best comedy writers there ever was, what a bummer.

At least he left behind an amazing body of work. RIP, Mr. Ramis.

They really shouldn't even bother with Ghostbusters 3 now, he was an essential part of it.

Just saw this short statement from Bill Murray:

"Harold Ramis and I together did the National Lampoon Show off Broadway, Meatballs, Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day. He earned his keep on this planet. God bless him."

I was enjoying a nice lunch with co-workers and looked at my phone for two seconds and saw the news. Damn cell phones. R.I.P Egon. :(

Really sad. Seeing the pictures of all these movies reminds of what a talent he was. Ghostbusters is legendary, and Stripes is also a hilarious movie.

Think it's gonna be a Ramis movie week for me. Have to watch Stripes tonight, Ghostbusters tomorrow night, Ghostbusters II on Wed night, Groundhog Day on Thurs night and Caddyshack on Friday night. God I love his movies... RIP Mr Ramis.
