The art is fine, the textures are fine and the designs are OK, the problem is that these arent well composed screenshots, plus theyve been showing the same level since the beginning now, the fact that it looks real empty doesnt help. It certainly looks distinct though, thats for sure.

On that awful E3 build, at the end of the demo they showed you a jungle'ish level for a bit that looked REALLY nice.

I never understood the hate for the hud. I actually like it. Quite different from most huds we see nowadays at least. As for the screenshots.....:lol
 
If you consider the context of the gameplay, I think the screenshots look fine. A diablo style game with 4 player co-op over LIVE has great potential.

Considering you'll have 4 player controlled characters with all their special effects fighting on the screen at the same time, the graphics are fine.



I think the HUD looks cool.
 
The environments remind me so much of Eternal Darkness... anyone else getting that feeling?
 
First screen looks like Metroid Prime. Samus just froze some Space Pirates with the Ice Beam.

Graphics are really weak for such a high-profile, high-budget hyped game.
 
Too Human scenarios:

a. - The Metroid Prime scenario: Production is a clusterfuck. Game ends up being revolutionary. Critics hail it as the best game in years. Haters resent the game at first, afraid to admit that they were wrong, but end up loving it as much as the critics did.

b. - The Daikatana scenario: Production is a clusterfuck. Game ends up being merely ok. Critics burn it to the ground. They feel the need to 'punish' publisher and developer for making ridiculous claims. Haters feel vindicated and make the game a meme.
 
Looks like everyone posting in this thread is of the opinion that these screens suck and Too Human sucks.

Now we just need to decide on why this is the case.

I think everyone is sick of the controversy surrounding the game AND they'd just like SK move on to ED2.

I really don't see how it can end up as A. MP always showed a lot of potential but every new Too Human screen and video is like an offering to the giant Gaf too human pyre.

I was going to compare the level design to the Prime games, too. Though, more along the lines of why they look way better than this. It's gotta be the artists and designers, but this compared to Retro's games pales in comparison. Corruption on Wii totally kills these shots from a 360 game, however one could argue that they're just bad shots or the art isn't up to par.

That being said, hopefully the rest of the game looks phenomenal, and plays great too.
 
This game reminds me more and more of Nanobreaker.. that's not a good thing.
Dyack give us a demo on Xboxlive so we can finally conclude whether this game will be the shit or just plain shit..

for some reason i have you on my ignore list (god knows why) but i wholeheartedly agree. the most recent e3 trailer looked like total horse-ass on gametrailers and all the EPIC bickering/screenshots haven't done much to help it's image.

Maybe it's sleeper hit like Crackdown? We were very sceptic about that game, too (except MrBob). Not that it matters really, early next year I'll still be playing games from November.
 
I'm counting down the days until MS dump this title (and SK) in a fire sale to a third party publisher who then gets some Chinese team to port this onto every system.

With the whole SK and EPIC lawsuit debacle and the fact Unreal3 looks stunning and this looks like a really impressive PS2 game (IMHO) this game is going to be a disaster. MS should just cut their loses.

Besides Busty, I hope this game ends up really really good, because the concept was just so damn great.
And because you haven't got an Xbox 360 to play it on.
