Here's the drainlock deck from WCA from one of the chinese players, it's kinda interesting. It basically has the same concept as Control Warrior where you fill your entire lower mana curve with removals and fill the top with legendaries.

Lol just played a golden mage who I think had every secret in their deck x2. Was pretty funny, they had 5 secrets active at one point.

Control Warrior works because weapons as removal is extremely efficient in terms of cards. How the hell does a deck like this work?

I feel sorry for Reynad, he always plays flawlessly in tournies but gets the short end of the RNG stick. It doesn't matter that he creates five or six innovative new decks each day, his opponents just copy them and get perfect draws. Poor guy. Atleast he won't die of sodium deficiency anytime soon.

Probably relies heavily on the Warlock's hero power to keep drawing cards. There's a decent amount of healing in there to keep you from dying and a ton of removal to keep the board clear, so I guess you just try to make it to turn 9 where you can play Jaraxxus and then start rolling out legendaries and 2 mana 6/6s. Seems like it would get destroyed by anything with high burst damage, and I doubt it could remove minions faster than Zoo can play them.

Warrior's control deck consists for more than 70% of removal and stalling cards. It's by far the most actual control deck (keeping things under your control). If you don't like that, maybe control isn't for you? I'm not sure if you're like this but there have been some people confusing decks that have undertakers and haunted creepers as control decks, but those are definitely not. Those are not cards to seize control, but rather to maintain control, so those are tempo decks. And the moment one loses momentum (getting cleared), every draw is weaker compared to an actual control deck (for example: topdecking a haunted creeper is pretty useless).

I've just completed a 5-victory Paladin challenge with a (bad) deck of my own creation centred around Spectral Knights. It's so much fun to watch a Priest or Rogue desperately search around for answers to Spectral Knights buffed by Sun Clercs, Arguses, Swords of Justice, Argent Protectors. If I owned Avenge I would have had two copies of it in there too, and it could have definitely helped the rough opening. It's basically a Zoo variant with little card draw and a huge glut of 4-mana cards (I run 2x Blessing of Kings to help end games), but it's hilarious when it starts to work (4 of 5 wins were against Priests and Rogues, the other against Mage, who has similar problems with the glorious Knights).

Am I the only one that thinks that Warrior control has a pretty decent early game with all the synergy? Armorsmith/Acolytes/Unstable Ghouls and the Berserkers(!) means that my opponent often has to burn at least some sort of removal on the early stuff that grew into the midrange turns, and that's before all the big legendaries come out.
It's probably my deck with the highest winrate atm, and I don't even have a Shield Slam in there (epics cost a lot of dust >_>).

No I know what control is, I play it nearly exclusively. I just like Warrior control by far the least. Some of it is because it plays legs that I don't have so I have to try and use replacements that don't fit nearly as well, but on top of that I find the class much less fun to play period versus Priest and even Paladin.
I don't run any tempo decks.
Edit: Sweet baby Jesus Reynad is the saltiest streamer by a MILE. Dude tilts heavy as hell on every single loss. He never loses without complaining. Never.

I feel like Blizzard will absolutely need to address Warlock's hero power at some point. I don't doubt that the game can be balanced around it, but I can't help but feel like the hero power being so good is what's keeping Blizzard from making more interesting Warlock cards.

Someone in this thread had a good syggestion a few days ago... Just make the card draw occur at the end of the turn, so it effectively delays the use/planning of using the card for one round.

That's funny. I got sick of learning control warrior and was able to get my wins with an enrage deck I threw together that was almost the exact same as this. I just had raging worgens instead of the loatheb and gnomish.

Twitch chat will never leave or change. It can't, it's too amazing with things like EVO and other such things. I can understand somethings can get a bit bad depending on the situation, but I would say it's mostly harmless.
Also, am I the only one who finds it funny when CoolOff and Zemm post together?
On the other side of things, I think I might have to change decks to rank up a bit before I can get back to my Reincarnate / Spirit deck. I've been stuck at 20 since a lot of people are running silly aggro decks that I can't handle. That, and my play time has been cut pretty short as well. Might try out laddering with that 20 damage in one turn Priest deck since I think that's going to be my next deck to grind to gold with.

If only. No moderation in tourneys even mean just insults flying left and right. Remember the chubby chinese kid? The chat was 99% of "fat fuck" messages. And don't get me started on cases where there's a female human being on screen.

I was a little surprised to see explosive trap hit for three with +spell damage out too (random arena match), don't play hunter all that much in ranked, and can't say I've ever seen it played against me with +spell damage on the board.
Like I would have been fine with him lucking out drafting a Grom and using it to trade, but having the Taskmaster to go with it in three cards, going face like a fucking baboon and then topdicking a Death's Bite while I'm spanking the shit out of my Acolyte to draw some kind of heal or taunt, that's just stupid

Just had this very fun scenario play out in a game of mine:
He had two already damaged Northshires on the board and about 5 cards left in his deck. I dropped my Wild Pyromancer while having 2 Circle of Healing and a Thoughtsteal in my hand. Eventually stole and used a third Circle from him with the Thoughtsteal.
He started the turn with 30 health, ended it with -36. Good times.

Interesting thing, circle of healing will only ever heal for four, but when it turns to damage from a Soul Priest, it gains damage. I suppose it makes sense. Savagery and Shield Slam are also effected by spell damage as well.

Sometimes twitch chat is a little bit enjoyable. Other times it is just filled with people spamming the same thing over and over and over and it is like just 3-5 people trying to dominate the chat... at that point I am confused as to why they aren't banned or at least muted for a while. Every once in a while what they say is a little bit funny, but it is usually grotesque or insulting and doesn't deserve to be repeated.
