It's not /bad/ per se, but it's not exciting in the least bit. Should have been an Apple Music esque Apple TV subscription service with bundled content for around $40-$50 a month.

you get that there's a reason they haven't done this yet, right? Something to do with the fact that NO OTT service has all all the major providers... and none have local channels.

lol.. people are so uncomfortable with change.

voice commands are infinitely better on Apple TV. My wife says the same thing as you. "I'm not going to use voice! It works fine as it is! swipe, swipe, swipe, click, swipe, swipe, swipe, click, swipe, click, swipe swipe swipe, click"

"Hey siri, show me the newest episode of Agents of SHIELD on Hulu." click. done.

The problem is that they're unreliable. Most people would rather do something that's reliable even if it means more steps, than do something that is fewer steps but is less reliable.

And voice control, especially with Siri, is unreliable. If it fails 10% of the time most people lose confidence in it.

Is this the first time some of you have watched an Apple keynote? This is pretty much how they always go. Superfluous stuff at the beginning, good stuff later.

I agree with someone else who said that maybe watching these live streams aren't for most of you. Just wait for an update on the web.

I'm not uncomfortable with change, I just don't need it. I don't need Siri on my PC; I can type faster than it takes to speak, parse my text, and search. I don't need Siri on my TV; the only things I watch on TV are on numbered broadcast channels. Everything else goes through my PC, which again, has a keyboard that is faster than any voice commands I've encountered thus far.

Oh it looks fucking SHARP.

God I have sudden tech lust and I have a 2015 MBP which is still amazing in every aspect.

When are we gonna stop caring how thin these things are? Even with increasing efficiency in architecture, you are setting yourself up for a physics brick wall and reducing space for other components

Thank Christ for the headphone jack.

Can't believe that is something I have to be happy about with Apple products now.
