Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
I'm watching a live blog just now (on mobile)

What is context of this pic exactly?

What's the point of having the video on the touchbar if it isn't saving any screen space whatsoever on the screen?

Someone please explain this to me.

How is any of this different from what you would already do with a trackpad?

Apple, fire the yes men and get someone like Jobs in there telling you these ideas are BAD.

So is that a good GPU?

I assume it's only the 15"? So the 13" gets the shaft?

I'd gladly downgrade to a 13" if... oh, I see. 103% faster. Haha. Faster than the last 13"? How does it compare to my dGPU 15" from 2013?
Also wondering. The 15" seems like a more attractive proposition at the moment.

And AHA, it's saying that USB-C can be used for those purposes.

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
I am confused as hell, they really demoing how to control video editing tool from touch bar and not from trackpad? what??? in the world is happening.

I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
Holy fuck.

As someone who has cut at least 100 video packages for broadcast news in FCP, I can definitively tell you that anyone looking at the keyboard to make those shortcut changes would be laughed out of the studio.

I loved the idea of the oled function keys but the more examples they give the more I just wonder how much more intuitive and easier it'd be to just reach out on the screen and do it there.

I still like the oled bar but they are just making a stronger case for touch screen.

The touchbar seems really cool. But it's just another way to do stuff we can pretty much already do with shortcuts and/or trackpad. Dunno. Maybe it's actually really useful to use but it's not really selling me on the usability.

You can scrub through your project or zoom in and out in final cut pro? That seems so much worse than just using scroll wheel on a mouse. It looks cool, I guess.

The most telling part of the touchbar is that fact that she was looking at the keyboard the whole time. Why would you want to look at the screen when editing video content /s

So I am going to need 2 different dongles to connect my cinema display to this? One for the thunderbolt and one for the mag-safe?

You don't realize how much that will help to reduce stress on the cables and be so much more convenient.

My MagSafe is completely destroyed because my cable always came from the right side but had to take a sharp U-turn to plug in. Since they got rid of the much more convenient L connector it made it even worse. So it would get stressed out all the time. But being able to plug it into the right side will be so useful.

Everyone was afraid they'd limit charging to just the top left port if only to save on circuitry, but they didn't. Instead of confusing people who would be expecting it to work on all ports when it doesn't, or having to label the one port as the "charging port" they made it smart and make it charge from all of them.

Would be hilarious if you could plug 4 chargers in and charge it 4 times faster. (I dont think technology works that way, but hell, they could make each charger charge a separate battery cell.)
