In what regard? One costs three times as much as the other. To be fair the iMac died yesterday when the studio was announced.

Yeah. I wonder what the last gen MacBook Pros will sell for now. That $300 upcharge for the TouchBar is whack.

Really don't want that. I do professional illustration work
welp everyone on the internet is going to tear that event apart

How can I compare the specs of my current first gen Retina Macbook Pro (mid 2012) to one of the new ones?
It would help me decide if its time to upgrade or not.
So they spent 90% of the time talking about the touchbar...
It's a forcing of a new standard before it's had a chance to come anywhere near properly saturated in the market. This is like eliminating VGA ports the day the HDMI spec came out. There's still a shit ton of people who still use USB-A devices, would it kill them to include one or two?

Macbook Pro 15 couldn't start with 512GB RAM for $2399?
It started at like $1200 earlier this week. The 13" Air was $999. I thought maybe the function-key pro would be the Air replacement, but at $1500.... nope.Isn't the 12" MacBook under a grand?
I'm going to have to move back to a Windows laptop, aren't I?
Yeah Ugh this is my #1 complaint. Prices are fucking crazy. 256GB SSD is too small. Wonder how much the upgrade will be.
Yh the studio isn't even competing with the iMac, it's meant to compete with Wacom. In what regard? One costs three times as much as the other.
But which one? i'm on the same boat : (I'm going to have to move back to a Windows laptop, aren't I?
The touchbar thing is silly. It's a strip. A thin one, at that.
It's like why go that way instead of having a touchscreen?

I'm tempted to get a 13 inch even though my current MBP is 15 inches.
Yeah keeping my 2015 rMBP. Will probably jump platforms next time back to Windows.
Not quite. It'll be available for a long time like the optical/HDD MacBook Pro was. Probably won't get many updates if any at all but it's there. So the MBA is dead.
As soon as he mentioned it was the PowerBook's 25th birthday I knew this was just going to be about laptops. They didn't even update the MacBook itself so I'm sure the iMac will get an update silently down the road. Maybe the mini. As for the Pro... haha.. poor thing.Zero desktops?
RIP iMac and Mac Mini ;_;
I am not looking to upgrade my almost 5 year old Air (which is still perfect), but I would hesitate at these prices.Yeah. I wonder what the last gen MacBook Pros will sell for now.
Is Quadcore CPU needed for programming?
I'm making a decision on which one to buy.
Did Apple even announce their battery life?
