thats some pretty good e-drama. i always have wondered if those honcast guys are as bad as they are portrayed a lot of the time- certainly some things get blown out of proportion and stuff. still seems like some shady stuff occured there.

I tested it on my mac and it took me to the right spot, and the bug was a while ago when people would just "Die" instead of get credited to someone for a kill, was a bug with Silhouette and her relentless Salvo.

Did the same thing to Creeps, denied gold / exp.

I follow the scene too, thank you posting that for everyone Swag. I really haven't got much to say though. Well, other than I never liked Phil from the first time I watched a cast with him on (I recall him referring to the community in some degrading manner, stating how we're all obviously single male nerds and he has to go to bed with his lady or something; it's not that I'd care or get butthurt from someone MERELY stating the truth (lol), but the way he said it did leave me with the impression he doesn't care much for the audience he's talking to. He has yet to act in a way that'd fix that arrogant ass image I initially got from him)

HonGAF can't even touch the levels of saltiness at work over there, it seems. Not sure how good it's for HoN as a competitive game in general.

Honcast fancies themselves as being *the* voice of competitive HON now, which in relation to other competitive gaming communities out there really isn't that big of a molehill to setup his nerdthrone on.

I'm not shocked. Honcast is the most unprofessional game casting site I've seen, and that's saying something considering they are video game casters.

I stopped visiting Honcast months and months ago. If you want to put yourself in the spotlight as the "go-to" resource, don't put out a polished steaming turd and expect for everyone to love you for it. I understand it's a passion project, but Breaky and Phil especially are just too unprofessional for me.

That said, I have watched every single match on the NASL and oddly enough, I've been quite pleased.

With regards to Gemini being too strong: It’s good to release new heroes a bit on the strong side to let players get in the hang of using them. That’s much more healthy than releasing them on the weak side. I think we all knew Gemini was going to be too strong on release, but I know I was personally fine with it, and had the expectation that we’d tweak him based on feedback post-release. The average skill level in SBT is significantly higher than in most pubs, so your feedback isn’t always indicative of what most players think. This is also a micro intensive hero, which makes it very difficult to balance and adjust because it’s already cutting off a sizable portion of the playerbase from using it effectively. On the other hand, if it’s true that everyone thought he was balls off the way imbalanced, it was not made clear to us. The only hero that I remember being told very specifically was imbalanced by multiple people pre-release was Amun-Ra.

With regards to S2 heroes having it all: Agree, they do have it all. We’re going to be paying special care on future heroes to keep this from happening. Gemini, as many of you noted, has been in development for several months (prior to Midas I believe), so he’s a relic of previous design philosophies. Look post-Shadowblade (Dreadknight, Sylph, Strafe) for what we’re leaning more towards in the future.

This is funny cause the HoN competitive team consists of what, 8 teams? Probably less cause out of those 8 teams only 3 actually matter. However the game is kinda young still.

Breaky isn't that bad, he can keep his nerd tendencies in check, but PhiltheThrill, I honestly don't know what that guy brings to the table, often his analysis of the situation is wrong, feels like he's a member of that cast solely due to the fact that he knew BreakyCPK before HoNcast got popular

This is kind of old. They've always said they prefer to release heroes that are slightly overpowered than one's that are underpowered. A slightly OP hero gets played and players will give feedback. A UP hero won't get played and won't receive feedback. This was their decision philosophy before EA.
