I would love to play in the same league as you, where every support chooses cleanse and is on the ball with cleansing that ultimate in particular!
Nah, 50 or so games with Murky and the ult was cleansed a total of three times. Remember, this is based on shitty MMR QM. Also, Void Prison is not even top 3 ult now with the range nerf.

Because the majority of people don't take the bubble talents once they learn how to play Murky. They are typically training wheels and then used afterwards for specific comps.
Taking the bubble talents makes you nigh unkillable but kind of defeats the purpose of being Murky. It also seriously hurts your damage capability and virtually removes your ability to delete any but the squishiest heroes.
Slime build? Cool and used by pros often. Puffer build? Standard. Bubble build? Niche and for learning.

The 13 and 16 bubble talents make you much more unkillable which makes living the dream even better, allow you to stay in combat longer may hurt your ability to delete but not your actual combat capabilities.

No he's not about being unkillable but he loses much of his value if the opposing team just sticks together and you can't single out anyone to delete or need to dive heavily to do so.

Friends just convinced me to try this game. Played a few games and have Azmodan to level 4. I'm liking it but I still feel like I'm not totally getting the hang of it.

You'll unlock daily quests soon, that's the primary source of gold. If you do those the gold gain is pretty decent.

I have a few characters on my backlog that I need to play before I start with Azmodan... but damn does he feel good to play and he feels slightly similar to Murky.

Remember, as Azmodan, you can gain vision of areas by summoning a Demon Warrior. You can use this to get vision over an enemy's wall so that you can snipe their Moonwell using your death laser.
