It's still the same main 4 it's been for like a year now. We've seen plenty of teams pick up one guy and stomp as well. TS with Zuna, C9 with Fan, BRFC as a completely new team, etc.

There's no way they should lose to a non top 4 team without a complete rosterpocalypse. Like Mal said, they used to troll draft these games.

I wish a Team I had any kind of affinity for played this game

but to be fair the only e-sports teams I'm familiar with are involved with the Fighting Game Community so idk maybe they do?

How do you play against Murky? He seems like such a weird character.

Namely the egg/respawn thing.

He's a specialist, and his specialty is being annoying. You can't ignore him and let him siege, so blow him up whenever you see him, but don't bother chasing him because his deaths are worth so little. If you're playing support be sure to pick up cleanse to cleanse his ultimate. Also if you kill his egg he can actually be "killed" like a normal hero, so its not a bad idea to check the bushes for his egg and trying to kill him.

Was the 1v1 a bracket or did they just play X vs. X. Basically what I'm asking was there a winner?

the pairings were predetermine afaik but the hero to be played was strawpolled.

The showmatch had 2 winners pick their team out of the 8 other winners. McIntyre vs Mewnfare. While Mewnfare's team went for Tracer, Chromie, Sonya, Uther, Arthas. McIntyre went for Tassadar, Tyrande, Thrall, Falstad, ETC. Guess the winner.

It was actually a really close game, and chromie was actually really good, if that effects your choice.

Still a fun comp vs a pretty competitive one. Chromie was great but the game was over as soon as they started flanking her.

Well I was trying not to spoil it.

But still, I think the game showed that unconventional can be just as competitive as standard team comps. Chromie did a surprising amount of work and was actually a pretty good last pick. They were vastly out skilled if you consider the players reputations, yet they still almost won...

Haunted Mines was so broken, and so unfun. It would need massive, massive changes to bring it back - there's a reason it;'s the only map they have removed from the pool.

they weren't that outskilled. Like mewn said, he plays a lot with them and he got equinox didn't he? Felt rather equal playerwise the deciding factor to me really was the comp.

It was unbalanced, yes, but being unfun is solely your opinion.

Oh yes, absolutely. I don't find unbalanced, broken maps fun. They reworked that map three times and couldn't fix it - I really doubt it will come back anytime soon thank god.

It was never played by the pro teams and easily the most disliked whenever it came up on Reddit. I'd much rather they brought us new maps rather than revisit that one.

i mean, i think the actual deciding factor was the mosh pits, but even then it was still really close either way. it's not like there were multiple level lead in either direction or that the chromie tracer comp didn't have a chance to win. I mean they won the last fight instead of getting 4 man moshed they probably would have won the game.

4 games with Zeratul, 4 losses. I dunno I feel like I'm doing Zeratul things, I don't die often, my damage is about on par with the other assassins. I just can't seem to win with him.

damage is imho a poor metric for Zeratul. Often the right thing with Zeratul is not to engage in a fight until you can pick off a target. Don't be afraid to lane with him as well if the comp calls for it or your teammates are slacking he's surprisingly good at it.

Trying to. Just lost another one because my team refused to do temples on sky temple. We got one over the course of the game. We had more kills at the end but we lost all our buildings because no one would occupy the temples. Can't do that shit alone with Zeratul.

Results from the game just now:

Ketch, we playin' dat OW tonight?

What's fun about being left at the mercy of RNG, though? If one team got Sylvanas your odds of winning decreased dramatically. The only halfway counter was Tassadar, It might be less bad now with bans, but I hope they've seriously reworked it in order to make it less snowball-y.
