Playing KT now is pretty un-fun with Tracer in the game, especially in disorganised QM. Which I guess is only fair considering how un-fun it's been to play against KT for so long.

Part of the problem with supports and their design in HotS is the lack of items. If Medivh were a Dota support, you would get an item like Mekanism to supplement his lack of healing, but that isn't a possibility in HotS. They're left with just designing every support to be a healer to some degree, through direct abilities or talent selection, or classifying them as a specialist or tank. I mean ETC is kind of the Tidehunter of HotS with his AoE stun.

I actually don't find tracer that bad with KT. She's an absolute pain, but Illidan is far worse I find, and at least KT has living bomb to throw on her. As Jaina, Chromie or Li-Ming I always feel utterly useless against tracer...

Chromie is the one mage I have the least amount of problems with Tracer. Bronze Talons, Chrono Sickness, Temporal Loop, Bye Bye! and Andorhal Anomaly are all pretty effective talents to deal with her.

Oh oops, I thought the back right was showing terran stuff. Nvm about that!

edit: HOLY JESUS PLAY TEAM LEAGUE NOW: http://us.battle.net/heroes/en/blog/20167106

It’s no secret that Heroes of the Storm is an absolute blast when you’re playing with friends, or that raiding the Team League queue as a five-player party only turns the fun up to eleven. However, we also know that it can take a little more effort to make sure everyone’s schedules line up when it comes time for a few Team League matches, and the games themselves involve quite a bit more coordination and communication than our other modes. In recognition of that extra effort, we’d like to try something new for those of you who assemble five-player squads in search of ranks, rewards, and glory in Team League.

More XP and Gold per Match

Starting today, and for the remainder of Ranked Season 1, we’re amping up the rewards you can earn simply by playing Team League:

Each Team League game you complete will now award 100% Bonus XP.
Team League Gold rewards have been increased to 50 per win, and 30 per defeat.

Better yet, Stimpack bonuses will stack additively with these new reward amounts, making Team League the best place to squeeze the most out of an active Stimpack per game.

These bonuses are ripe for the taking right now, and will remain in effect until Season 1 concludes during the week of August 23. Gather your closest allies, take another look at all of the epic loot you can unlock by ranking up, and hit that Ready button as hard as you can! If there are a few empty slots on your Team League roster, then be sure to check out the official Heroes forums, or the Heroes of the Storm Subreddit, to find other players who are looking to party up.

Not my experience, having to take bye bye is already a huge problem with chromie.
Chrono Loop does nothing against a Tracer who's aware of it since recall negates it.

Team League bonus exp gives the same impact issue that quests have where youre incentivized to play characters youre less experienced with or dont fit as well with your team just so you can get the bonus.

i seriously doubt people will want me to join their team league just so i can 100% pick Medivh just because i want the master skin faster.

I don't see Bye Bye! as a detriment, it can allow you to play a little less safely provided there's no double stun heroes nearby. People blow ults on you that you can just peace out from. In a weird way playing as Chromie with Bye Bye! feels like being a Murky getting focused down by multiple ults. They waste them on you, it takes little time for you to get back into the fray on most maps and they have no ult for the teamfight.

Sands is useless against a Tracer who can blink by it, but Temporal Loop is handy for after Recall has been used.

Who gives a crap about xp, it's all about that gold.

And why so selfish? Everyone all gotta-get-mine in MOBAs when it is probably the one genre where you absolutely cannot be like that. Though I guess you could mean in a hypothetical sense.

Even if she doesn't have recall up, the issue is she will be mashing that Q key like crazy which makes it really, really hard to land the stuff on her. Anyone with a blink needs absolutely perfect timing to have the combo work.

This is true. Other than at prime time (my time PST) I do still see way more people in OW than HOTS. HOTS list fills up pretty good at night though.

Gul'dan better be a decent damage dealer and/or somehow otherwise viable in solo queue. If he's yet another hero that can't be played solo in QM I'm gonna be cri.

I thought someone said he was a specialist, but that's it if that's even true. Not sure why they aren't giving us dem juicy teases with substance instead of Twitter GIFs.

Who do they think they are? Me?

They want 1 healer to be standard. To do that, the healing needs to be strong.

I disagree, I don't think burst healing needs to be as strong as it is right now for 1 healer to be standard. Like Malf, BW, Tyrande, even monk are all great support heroes and if it wasn't for rehgar/uther being way better then them they could all be run as the solo healer, and sometimes they still are.

Like chosing betwen malf and rehgar should be a meaning ful choice in a draft, but right now it's just like lol rehgar.

The problem is that not all characters with healing should be full-out healers.

I agree, but the problem then becomes that if you're only gonna take one healer in a draft then you take the one with the best heals.... because healing is OP. You can tell that it has little to do with the rest of the support heroes kit because it seldom matters what the rest of your team comp is as long as you have strong healing. And in my opinion, one size fits all solutions makes the game less fun.

Medic is like the prime example, she would be broken as fuck if she could heal herself, and it wouldn't even matter what the rest of her kit was, she'd never have to use any other ability other then heal beam.

Just finished watching Warcraft. Never played any of them aside from WoW, so I'll say this:

Gul'dan is a bitch

Medivh is way cooler in the movie and also a bitch

Where the fuck is Khadgar?

I can almost guarantee you that Khadgar is coming. Huge lore character.

I'd love to try out hero league as it looks a lot like the SC2 league/ladder which I quite enjoyed even though I sucked. Problem is that while I'm not a complete idiot and have been playing on and off since beta, I'm simply quite clueless when it comes to things like hero countering and team compositions. I tend to play Morales a lot as I like healing, or any healy type characters tbh but I get anxiety from the thought of underperforming and getting flamed at.

Sounds like unranked is for you. No anxiety because the outcomes don't matter, and you'll get to practice drafting and that'll get you ready for Hero League.

Yea I might just stick to unranked for now since I don't really want to mess things up for the team.

More than anything unranked is good because you won't mess things up for you. Iron out the kinks and learn the ropes in unranked so you don't end up in a lower MMR in ranked and regret it.

Gul'dan base looks awesome, but the second skin is...not good. Dat fear doe...dis goin be good.

Auriel is like the ribbon dancer from the commercials that used to play all the time as a kid. Not really digging any of her skins, but I think that's mainly because she looks so close to Tyrael. Auriel also used two damage spells in that video. Not a support, or another hybrid?

Striker Li-Ming is easily her best skin. All of hers sucked IMO cause of the weird way they've set her face, and this one at least her face looks semi-normal on. The animations are pretty fun.

More horse mounts. I'm shocked. I do dig the Hare, though. Obsidian Cyber Wolf is cool, but should've been a skin color on the already shitty Cyber Wolf that is basically like faded blue and different colors of rust and shit.

Uther is the only support with two healing spells to be fair - every other support has one heal and two damage / CC abilities don't they? Guess medic also has her shielding thing, but she is such a heal both anyways... ;-)

I'd hardly call what most supports have "two damage abilities". They might do the barest smidge of damage, but for the most part it's all utililty.

Rehgar has no damage. Shield and Totem. Malfurion has Moonfire and a root. Uther has paltry damage on a heal and a stun. Morales has a Grenade and a Shield. Brightwing has that wonky ass Q, Polymorph, and a block/speed buff and no active heal at all. Tassadar has Psionic Storm and Dimensional Warp. Even Medivh only has one actual damage ability.

Supports who do have two actual damage abilities:

Lili has Blinding Winds and her mini-dragon.

Kharazim has his Dash and E.

What they showed of Auriel looked like two legit damage abilities. Then again, it's been so long since we've had a support preview I honestly don't even remember how they previewed supports and their capabilities pre-Morales.

As someone said on reddit- if you previewed Malfurion he'd look like a DPSer as well, since you see Moonfire and Roots.

She's got a knockback and a dps lash.

Thing is preview videos always show abilities as killing everyone. They could do 10 damage in game and mostly be used for repositioning.

Saying that, the first looked like a great wave clear tool if it hits minions - massive area of effect. Having wave clear would definitely improve her!
