Quick match on the PTR seems borked - it's forming teams without warriors and healers versus teams that have them. No-one is grouped, and the queue was well under 10 minutes.

This is all according to Keikaku as well- they're more interested in testing than good games.

It's going to dramatically raise the importance of cycling to help lanes in trouble. Encourage split-pushing too, which maybe is something they want. A viable strategy outside of the 5-man deathball, maybe force certain ultimates (Hunt, Stage Dive) to get picked more in response to deal with heroes doing it.

Medivh at 20, Chromie with Bye Bye!, Dehaka, it's a definitely stealth buff to Abathur, maybe even a return of Raynor's Raynoring on top of the usual suspects you could list in the specialist role.

Man low MMR games will get even more toxic with these changes IMO.

And it's not as if heroes with great wave clear needed more reason to be picked...but here we are.

Yup. Quick Match is going to get a whole lot more awful for sure. Not all specialists are equal but the problem is they are in the eyes of the match making system. And the draft phase is going to end up being more of a toxic shit show, people are just gonna start tilting harder off of picks, moreso than they already do now.

It will be interesting to see how long this change lasts and what the overall reaction is going to be.

I wanna try the new zag in the ptr.

It's Hammer Time?

If there isn't a Chromie sure. Lvl 20 BFG just got stealth-buffed.

Those Tyrael changes….I can’t decide if they buffed him or nerfed him? Either way, that is not the Tyrael improvement pass I’ve been hoping for….

There's a new portrait for purchasing Legacy of the Void. Dunno if anyone caught that yet. Popped up as I logged into PTR.

Will check difficulty in a sec. Not sure why it matters doe, they are almost always wrong.

Medium is correct sir.

That Balespider skin colors are so ugly. That bundle is an easy stay away for me.

EDIT: Matter of fact, all of his colors except his base skin + base color are not very great. =/ I didn't check master skin.

Not only that but Sylvana's convert talent will be pretty OP because of it

I expect to see her become a perm ban after this~

I thought so at first too but, if you look at the layout of her talents in the PTR notes, Infest was moved to 1 and she has a new talent at level 1.

Yeah, just noticed that~

Gul'dan has some very interesting talents that change the way he plays the game. Not sure that they are viable, but pretty neat to see.

One that increases his health by 25% at the cost of 15 sec longer death timer. Another (Healthstone) that heals him for like 25 or 35% on a 60 sec CD. Another ability allows him to get 15% more ability power but lose 15% health permanently.

Hrm.

I imagine Healthstone will be the go to, the ability power one is dependent on how many damage skills he has, the first one...the first one is definitely the worst.

At least these have a real drawback lol. Though it's hard to tell how they'll play out.

Losing 15% health is huge for him, potentially, cause he has to drain to regain mana since he doesn't regen.

Yeah they've shown little inclination to not drop a patch just because of competitive. Don't see why it wouldn't be live. If they want they can put em on a different patch on LAN like kirblar said as they have done previously.

3 700 second plus queues so far for Gul'dan. Each time the matchmaker ends up failing because someone quits right as the queue pops. Good times.

That endless creep lvl 20 talent for zag seems sooo good. Having a hard time digesting all these patch notes still lol

Yeah, it's really going to open up Zagaras talent choices. And I'll finally have a reason to not get Devouring Maw each time(And cause people to cry about it when I don't) because I really like Nydus Network.

New Zag is interesting. Rather than address the problem of heroes with global abilities to cheese backline structures with the simple solution of backdoor protection they've simply added the prerequisite of creep for a Nydus Worm to be used. So now you can't pop a Nydus wherever you have vision, you need to have a creep tumor there first. You can still have that map-wide access, you just have to physically travel to another lane first. It's now just easier for the opposing team to shut down your global mobility.

Zag also has two quest damage farming talents (at 3 and 7) related to hero damage on top of the damage buff tied to creep. So she's going to be even more obnoxious to solo lane against.

They also changed the level 20 functionality of Nydus so you lose the zergling spawn and they've replaced them with the endless creep talent. So they've throttled and limited her ability to globally push and tried to emphasize hero damage, which was already pretty strong. I like the change to banelings, it's more of a skillshot now and you can still mash out 4 in short order if you want.

It seems like Zag will be better at crushing one lane but have difficulty in moving across the map if the opposing team is hunting down her worm.

as someone whose favorite heroes all suck at wave clear, im not looking forward to the minion changes.

looking forward to not being forced into piano uther.

greymane and zag bans plz

medivh + kerrigan is already stupid, interested to see how her changes will play out.

Zag seems really strong now. Solo she's always been mean to lane against, now it's worse. And when she's paired with someone, it's pretty brutal. She's definitely less fun to play against.

Gul'Dan is weird but all I have to go off of is the few times I've cloned him.

Azmodan buffs hype! Actually many of the siege specialists have been buffed, can't wait to play tons of Azmodan and Xul in QM.

Gul'dan's kit looks real boring, I was saving for him but I will buy one of the 10k heroes I don't have yet and save the rest for Auriel release in one month.

First game of Gul'dan in the books.

Range on Drain seems kinda mandatory pending how much increase you get out of the quest talents. The Q quest talent is easy to complete, based on what I saw, but being able to be farther back to heal is very nice (and also so they can't just walk out).

Healthstone is as good as expected. The ability power talent is 15% ability power for 25% decreased healing, not 15% decreased health. Not sure where I got that. So in QM, when you inevitably have no healer, it's pretty good. Remains to be seen otherwise.

The fear is pretty fun. Both me and the opposing Gul'dan went fear so dunno about the other ult.

Being able to play Azmodan with dunks solo is fantastic. It's obviously not as good as stacking with a team, but for solo play it is far better. Shame they moved March of sin though, that really does put a crimp in his abilities.
