Heroes of the Storm |OT3| Chromiehounds

4-1 with fellow Gaffer Prelude, that sure was fun. This last Hanamura game was fantastic, very close.

Also got Muradin to 10 and he's a ton of fun. He's no Artanis tho :3

Edit: I assume Muradin's terrible mana issues are "a thing" and not just me being an idiot?

I always have mana issues with him too. I always assumed it was intended.

I have a cursory interest in Soccer, I don't think I'm being judged for hooligans' behaviour.

Clearly you've forgotten how the internet works. If you are a fan of someone or something and that entity does something bad, you are therefore also bad for supporting them whether you knew about or agreed with said thing. If you are loosely part of a group it's the same thing. Internet rules, my friend. You get lumped in whether you agree or not. See every thread in OT.

Blizz reportedly asking for a 20m buy in for their overwatch league with no profit sharing until 2021, get 25% cut in event of a team selling their spot

According to the article in comparison a spot in lcs can run ~1.8m

LMAO. That feel when you got champagne tastes on a beer income amirite?

Why in the fuck do they think that an unestablished esport would be worth more than the most watched esport in existence? That's some balls. Hubris.

Yeah, good games. Most Hanamura games I have are always super close, it's such a weird map. Our only loss was probably just a matter of comp, they had too much damage at every range, I couldn't even begin to attack with Kerrigan against that constant deathball.

lord knows what would happen to hots if they tried a similar stunt

the difference between both games' esports management is like night and day

in other news, holy shit Malf is so good. how come he hasn't been nerfed to the ground yet?

Many are asking that question, and have been for some time. Personally I'm hoping it's because they want all supports to be that good, rather than nerf him.

Sorry for what I started xD

You forgot /s at the end there buddy.

First I was the thread sheriff. Now I'm the threadneck. Thanks Milly.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

There's the Activision I know and don't respect. What were they thinking lmao.

His healing passive makes people forget to tap once in a while.

Aren't we like halfway there already?

The thing about I find so strong Malf is that you put him next to a mp starved hero like Muradin, Chromie or Li Ming and they can stay in a fight forever. And his AoE CC ain't too bad either. Or Cleanse.

Dude has so much utility

Really surprised Lucio keeps getting hit and Malf doesn't considering he's the main challenger to Malf in any way really.

As an aside, I've seen streamers gushing over how good D.Va is/will be. What has been the verdict on the new Tyrande? Would love to start playing her again if the rework makes her fun.

I for one can't wait for the new Alarak to arrive. Watching Rich play him is a sight to behold.

That's a hero I'd love to learn. Did an AI with him to get a loot chest and 150 gems, and I've done some QM on him in the past. His combo feels...more impactful than Kerrigan's and in some ways it's more useful piecemeal too. The silence or the pull/push can still be good outside of the combo, whereas hers is usually not.

Alur playing anything but the new hotness? What is this?

Well. technically Tyrande rework will make her new hotness too so the streak continues. :D

Varian is old af by now. You can notice that by how tired people are when they speak of him.

It's just asinine, he gotta be at the top longer than Rehgar was at this point.

Khroen also followed through with it.

He looks fine, like he got a real job.

You know a draft has gone horribly, horribly wrong when your team ends up as Gazlowe, Arthas, Hammer, Morales, and Zagara.

And yet, somehow... we won! We were definitely aided by the opponents having The Most Overagressive Valeera Of All Time who loved popping out behind our whole team and attacking the person who Morales was already healing, failing to do anything, and then dying immediately. Over and over. Oh, and they also had an Artanis who decided to solo lane the entire time as well. So we won every single Punisher shrine, knocked down everything before knocking out the core, went 29-19 K/D, and they only got two frontline forts when it was all said and done.

It's a shame because he clearly grew it out for quite a while, it looked good on him, and it made him stand out among his peers. Whether he looks fine after he cuts it or not doesn't really play into it in my opinion, it's still a shame he made a stupid bet and had to lose it.

EDIT: Playing on my smurf as Alarak. Teammates are named RedNadz and Hurtbutzz. This should go well, I think. Kappa

EDITx2: Okay, in noob leagues Alarak is as broken as Varian is in decent leagues in QM. So much damage and control.

Which support class is best? So far I feel most useful with Malf, Morales, and Brightwing.

Malf is the strongest one right now. By a good ways.

Something flipped recently I don't know how and why but I hate the game so much right now. I think I need a break from quick match.

Edit: Nice insult to injury. My most hated brawl is back. Ghost protocol is on rotation this week.

When they are winning at any rate, or at least scrimming. He's been known to be unbearable when things aren't going bad, though he seems to have grown out of that a bit on more recent teams.

people keep saying that but as long as I've played hots, there's only ever been the Tempo drama and I only had a cursory interest back then.
After that he was just a cocky player thinking he was competing with the top when they had to struggle making 3rd place.

Week 2 of getting into HOTS has been going well. I chose Sonya as my first hero and got her to level 7, got Malfurion, Morales, Lucio, Brightwing, and Li Li to level 5, and now I've been trying out some of the specialists to get a better feel for their role. Really loving Azmodan.

Been losing or felt like you did bad or both? Game does that to me at least once a month. As does Clash Royale, lol, anything competitive really.

How do you think that cockiness gets taken by others and his teammates when it doesn't come to fruition though? It's unbearable.

That's Vorazun. The biggest problem with putting her in is that she's a Dark Templar like Zeratul, so she'd be another stealth character. The smaller issue is that they'd need to create her kit from scratch because her abilities in Starcraft are all things Zeratul already has in HotS.

But if we're talking about female Protoss characters, there's also Rohana, and she'd be pretty unique.

Rohana can inherit the Adepts moveset for HOTS easily, But knowing Blizzard they are probably go for Talandar as a heavy Inmortal for the next protosss unit

stupid Judgement Uther skin, give me my missing heroes Blizz, not more stupid Uther skins :(

wasnt even the good tint!

I've never seen Cauthon or Cattle do or say anything on the level of bravado and vim and vigor Glaurung comes with. A little overconfident on THH a time or two maybe, but nothing like Glau.
That must have been before my time. I saw him on THH once or twice, these last 2 years. During post game interviews at events he was either incorrigibly hype af or awkward.

Lots of 2nd hand info though but that was mostly on trash talking.

Both. I feel like I don't have any impact anymore in my games. Whatever I do or attempt never works out. I've been steadily climbing my mmr to 2.5k-2.6k and I guess I just hit a wall. I assume I'm being grouped up more with people around my skill range so it feels like struggling through molasse. I'll ride it out and see where it goes. Maybe just not trying so hard would help.

If I were just armchair coaching, I'd argue that it could be because you don't truly have any go-to pocket pick heroes. Like I'm gonna get on this hero and we're 10% more likely to win just because of it. Whether because of the group or what you bounce around a lot and rarely play more than 2-3 games on a particular hero. Jack of all trades master of none type deal. If you have pocket picks I don't know what they are at any rate.

Alternatively you could just be in the kind of rut we all hit where you can't win reliably and feel like no matter what you play you're getting boxed out. You could also be punching above your weight, or as you say maybe you've just reached the plateau. If it's either of those, I'd go with my first suggestion to correct that. Running the OP hero into the ground or the hero that is OP in your hands is the best way to shake that HOTS malaise.

All that said, not trying so hard wouldn't hurt any of us. As a group we put a lot of pressure on each other to perform even if we don't directly say it all the time. The frustration gets palpable when it's not working for sure. To me part of that is that we often play what we want and not necessarily what we know will work...but expect to work as well anyway. I would like to do better at separating the two so that when we're playing to learn it doesn't feel like one of us is letting down the world.

5 novas v 5 novas, snipe is a instant kill, takedowns do dmg to core

map is towers of doom btw. Its absolutely horrible.

Noooo not this one again! Why can't we just have a nice simple ARAM now that you get hero xp in brawls? I'd play it all the time if it was one of those... anything but Nova brawl (well, not Hammer brawl either)

Barely held on to a HL win. Our Zarya player was good but also super aggressive. At least 3 times he completely ignored retreat calls, got in hot water, than talks about "having no team". He held it together without a early "gg" or feeding, but jeez man! Some people just put the blinders on and want to teamfight over nothing.
