Heroes of the Storm |OT3| Chromiehounds

I'm sure they could change QM some for the better. For me it's not about queue time. It's about the lack of draft. When you cut the draft portion out, that is probably the most significant factor in making it quick.

How many games have you put in? I didn't like him after 3-4 games but he clicked and ooooooh boy he's SUPER strong. The nerfs are coming, and coming fast. The trait build is 900x better than the others. Not so shockingly, the Tormented Souls ultimate is 10% higher win rate than Last Rite's, that'll get nerfed into oblivion.

Maybe I need to play more with him but so far I am not having fun I suffer a lot of damage and I feel he dont heal himself enough to return to battle, gotta try that build.

If you watch Kripp's stream, he queues for QM in a 5 stack and it already takes a while (like 5 min) to find a match because they're in a 5 stack. Chat spams ResidentSleeper and "Dead gaem" all the while

I can imagine Blizzard doesn't want QM to take even longer to find matches given that the operative word is "Quick"

You pointed out it's because it's a 5 stack, not because it's trying to find a worthwhile composition, which is a low bar to begin with.

IIRC QM already does attempt to make teams somewhat even at least in terms of roles.

always good to end your session on a high note

Wonder if he will get nerfed soon, probably, but then again Genji and D-Va werent, and ppl were crying for D-Va nerfs initially (seems those have died down) and are still crying for Genji nerfs.

I dunno if this is useful to say but day 1 malth on ptr seemed prtty weak imo

His e almost seemed like a joke ability, but ppl were trying to shoot it. Maybe you have to be in melee range for it to hit?

Why would he get nerfed? Because you had a good game with him?

He seems almost booty tier from the games I've played.,

yup thats exactly it, he should get nerfed because I had a good game with him. Thats what I meant. Jesus christ...

the only thing I think might be too good on Malth right now is that his % stuff works on bosses, and objective bosses and whatnot, and man he takes them down FAST.

Versus heroes, I mean he's supposed to be a tank buster and he does that, I found he struggles against squihy ranged heroes like Valla or Li Ming. I bet Tracer ripps him appart nicely.

I mean you literally posted a screenshot and said he would probably get nerfed.

So what basis would I have to go off of? Jesus Christ...

Is it % of the dk health or % of who's inside like leoric

If it's the former yeah that's busted

I've only tried it on bosses, and on the garden terror (the boss version not the manned one, I didnt notice on the manned one actually because of the chaos, and because we lost that match hard so Im not even sure I had chance to go after a manned one), the biggest "offender" was those angel guardians or whatever they are called, as the one side with malth was melting theirs much faster. I guess you could argue that Hammer kinda does the same, but nah man, not like that. Thats like having 2 hammers wailing on him heh

also the build im using is the exact same build as that 70% winrate on hotslogs...because of course it is, 2 seconds look at his talent tree and it doesnt take a moba genious to figure out what the best build was. A hairless monkey could do it.

He's been out for 2 days and has the 2nd highest win rate in the game. Also all of his trait talents are like 5-10% higher winrates than the others. And his AOE ultimate is 10% higher win rate as the execute.

He's super busted. It's only going to get worse once the masses figure out how strong he is.

Do you guys not realize that there will always be a hero with the first/second/third/fourth/fifth/sixth/seventh/eight/ninth/tenth
, I could go on,
winrate?

Ya but when its the brand new hero, and he's already #2, and he has no build diversity then we have a problem.

On PTR % dmg on bosses and such was a visual bug. There appears to be a cap on dot damage applied to approx 5% but the full 10% are displayed on the health bar. In reality Malth's tickrate was worse than Lunara's.

Would have to find the thread on reddit that said that.

Launch window for a new hero on live is the actual PTR.

Malthael honestly doesn't seem very strong.

It depends on the roles and heroes you like playing. He's much more manageable to deal with as a ranged hero, even moreso if they have any kind of sustain to counter the life steal, and kind of oppressive to deal with as a melee hero.

That was prtty much my impression with two caveats: 1. The sustain is not the best without multiple heroes; pretty much only good with 2/3 heroes on top of you, 1 is not enough and the rest will kill you. 2. Melee heroes have very low incentive to be in his range since he is not a big threat.

If left alone he could be a decent battery for auriel but there seem to be way better choices for this.

A chogall, auriel, malth, something else that can protect auriel comp might be pretty decent

2 quick things:

1 - Quickcast on Release is a goddamn revelation. It basically eliminates one whole step in the spell proccess. I like on release because it stills lets you aim those skill shots.

2 - Abathur is still super fun, when you get a good game with him, theres little like it. Kinda like the Vikings really. We need more weird heroes like them.

Seconded on the "On Release" quickcast. The only way to go for me.

the Abathur win streak is real lol.

And the Thrall losing streak earlier was also very real ;_;

Dunno what to think about malth. He is really slow when he doesn't have reaper's mark to warp to. But then when he does he warps behind u and basically already body blocks you and has a lot of sustain and even if you do get away chances are he ults you for half your health or warps again.

Gotta stop playing QM to get a better perspective of him.

what happened?

Apprently she was reported missing by friends, missed some scheduled public appearance, didn't answer phone/social media, and then shows up a day later on twitter saying everythings fine and she was just playing poker in a casino.

The internet thinks she went on a drug fueled bender.

That... was not what I expected.

Well, I'm glad she's ok

Missing for 20+ hours when she was supposed to run/present/whatever some events at E3, no contact with friends or family. Missing person report filed apparently, whole internet begins to sleuth. Was like the second most upvoted post on /r/all...and turns out she was at a casino for most of that time with no phone since hers died.

Anyway, she's found so I guess all's well that end's well.

It's not actually that strong on bosses. Even at level 16 with the Mememto Mori talent and the level 4 quest completed it's still lower than 6 other heroes, some of whom come online much faster than him. In dps order:

Valla (q build, quest complete)
Sylvanas (q build. windrunner)
Greymane (eager wolf)
Gazlowe (three turrets, robot goblin)
Zagara (q build. Nydas, mutalisk)
Li-Ming (q build, canoneer, fireflies)
Malthael (memento Mori stacked)

Very handy dps sheet for boss racing:

The real issue with malthael will be his talent diversity. The trait talents are winning at an absurdly higher rate than the other options and the Tormented Souls ultimate is like 15% higher than the Last Rites one. Expect the nerfs to hit here.

Final Curtain at level 20 is one of my favorite storm talents in the game, holy shit is that thing fun

See Kio, I told you! Q, cannonneer and fireflies for BoE boss.

But you still went Cris's build.

I never said you were wrong. I just said I want to try Cris' build just to see. I still don't have a lot of real match experience with Li-Ming. I didn't have time to research meta builds for maps either so I riffed from what I had on hand.

Just the fact that I focused Cho'Gall instead of the backline was not helping our team. That Anub was the main pain point for sure but old habits die hard it seems.

I always build Li Ming all-in on Arcane Orb, am I wrong? I'm just a QM scrub tho

It really depends. She honestly has a lot of build diversity.
