It was cool doing the same in Crysis, HL2 and plenty other games using physics.
Is that just the VFX impressing people so much?
It looks fucking cool. Does it really need to go beyond that?

Random Question - Does anyone know if this game uses the touchpad? Mine doesnt work (pressing it like a button works but not the actual touch part)
How the fuck are they doing this? It has to be the same kind of tricks Naughty Dog does to make a game look more expansive than it really is. Like the trees in the background might even be just a static image, and the clouds and mountains might just all by a flat skybox as well. You can't have a game that's drawing that many things in real time, with that kind of foliage, and looking that good running at 30fps on the current consoles.

Truly. Sony needs a PS4 Pro Bundle ASAP
I think that's why kojima picked their game engine. It looks so good. The landscape in the PS4 Pro footage looks as impressive as U4 and this is open world. Guerilla have bridged the gap between linear and open world game visuals.
Man shut the hell up. It looks dope. Get over it.It was cool doing the same in Crysis, HL2 and plenty other games using physics.

I don't understand either. Where are you getting that from?Well, it's not really a stable 30 FPS from what I understand.
it seems alright, i get the feeling this might feel really dull and formulaic partway in like a ubisoft open world game. hopefully that's not the case.
Ok I need a Pro. That looks absolutely bonkers.
It's going to be insane. Got damn Sony WWS is killing it like always.Between this and Uncharted 4, you just wonder how insane God of War will look when it's done.

Photomode ToD change. Also nice for watching the cloud-lighting change quickly and dramatically!

This is exactly what I'm concerned about. Hell, even "better" open world games like The Witcher 3 lost me after a while. That's the one thing which prevents this from being a day one purchase for me. I'm gonna be playing the shit out of Mass Effect for a long time most likely, so I can wait until after that for this, if I'm still interested.
Side note, why is there a backlash whenever somebody says it looks like a Ubi game? I mean, it objectively does in various ways. (Most) people aren't just saying this to troll/hate on the game. But there ARE reasons to be at least slightly skeptical, including the potential Ubi elements and the fact that this is the Killzone team which has never tackled this type of game.
Yeah.....GOTY

The combat variety is what is going to set this apart, imo. Setting traps is novel and looks engaging. This is exactly what I'm concerned about. Good point. But man I hope they get it together cause this will/could sell Pro'sDon't think they will be able to do one since they out of stock in certain parts of the world .
This thread changed tone once the positive previews started to roll. And as I expected a lot of people stoped posting. Go figure.

The trees aren't moving either, and they wouldn't stop moving in TW3.
edit: looking at the clouds more closely, that seems to be exactly what's going on. So if that's what they are doing, I wonder how much of the game really will be more than just these tightly packed, "kind of wide" corridor or dead end valley areas that make the game look a lot more open than it actually is?
The graphics..... Man....
I'm a little worried about side quests though, reading some of the previews.
