So PS4 Base Vs Pro
First Thirty Min
I can't really say there's a Big difference between the Two if I'm honest.
Both appear graphically the same in nearly all areas, the Pro may be a big crisp, but thats about it I believe.

FPS
Both were pretty stable, although I noticed with the Base form that it stutters in some cutscenes.

The Only big difference my base model sounds like it's taking off to another solar system

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
The WRPG comment was about what others were saying in this thread, AKA it has no bearing on these articles which are about what SONY wants from this game. If Nintendo came out and announced a new IP that will represent their future, expectations are raised. Same thing here. And let's say Horizon does nothing new while still being a solid/great game, which you seem to believe it will, what does that say about the system its publisher wants it to represent. Hey, buy a PS4 and play our skinned up Far Cry game.

So moving goal posts again?

I'm not exactly sure what's been said between these two? I'm assuming Phil is talking about Killzone Shadowfall and hinting that GG has made huge strides from then?

Yeah that's my take on it. But it could mean his impressions are aligned with what ShadowFall received and it bothers him because Horizon is a much better game (too much mental gymnastics, I know).

Lol what is this horseshit? Take a fucking break, guy.

Why are the Horizon threads like this all of a sudden?

It's hard to keep track of what point you're trying to make, but it sure is fun reading your posts.

Well, maybe I don't remember that much, you could be right. It has been the most marketed game coming from Sony aside U4, concede me that at least. :p

Again, my point is that there are big hopes on this game. I think it's going to deliver in all fronts.

Yeah, I hope it delivers. I want Horizon to become a franchise.

But people already said the setting and combat are indeed unique and new lol, a game doesn;t need to be totally unique to be a big new franchise. Why do you keep doubling down on this?

You said Sony expects it to change the futre of WRPG's, you have failed to prove that, have moved goal posts and seem upset there is legit hype for Horizon. You have not even played it explain how it does nothing new if you never played it? Your arguments are all over the place, relax, it is ok for sony to market and push their big titles, it's their job.

I would actually compare Horizon to Zelda sort of. Especially when the new LOZ is also open world. I think the fact that it is archery based and combat is also somewhat similar + you can ride a horse (strider/epona).

will be interesting to see what happens when both are out and how dissimilar they are or not. Nintendo trying to take on open world, curious to see what happens to their pacing and tightly structured gameplay.

Yeah, you're trying way too hard to make Horizon being a great game somehow not good enough.

Those similarities are tenuous at best. Zelda has a mix of melee and ranged combat while horizon has a more ranged focused combat with melee to supplement it.

So much for discussing the game on Reddit. The hive mind there is already hating on the game and saying the game will get high scores because SJW journalists. They already point to Engadget review as an example. Remind me of the situation before The Order. I guess I'll stick here for discussion.

What post moving, I always spoke of the WRPG aspect in correlation with this thread and of the PlayStation Icon status in relation to what Sony has said. If you prove me otherwise, I'll leave this thread plain and simple.
Your original posts said that not only were people saying that this game is the future of WRPGs, but also that Sony expected the game to revolutionize the genre. So far I haven't seen that, and your subsequent posts have only gone down hill from there.

The idea is that Horizon turns into another strong selling and critically aclaimed game and possible franchise. But no, is not the face of the console/company, it could get there someday but don't forget this: Biggest games Sony have right now are: GT Sport (just asuming, don't care about cars), God of War and The Last of Us Part II. Those are defining games for Sony. I give you that they're trying their best to turn Horizon into a game that could walk among those franchises.

Setting, combat and production values set it apart, I don't think that's little.

Horizon threads keep on delivering the goods.

Holy shit, when did I ever say that Sony expects to change WRPGs. And seriously, don't pull that you haven't play it horseshit. Neither have you, last I checked, and we can only discuss based on previews/trailers. I'm not doubting the quality of the game, I'm doubting the PlayStation icon status it's been groomed for.

ashes is just a next level da-kid
i mean it's fine to criticize the game for being a far cry like game but you're literally projecting your imagination into a narrative

This is literally the entirety of the Sony quotes from one of your links:

Sony said:
However, he confirmed that it's too early to claim with certainty that the game will evolve into a larger franchise, saying, ”Nothing has been announced to date but I think there's a lot of potential for this to be an exciting new franchise for us – we'll just have to wait and see."

Sony said:
Pre-orders are in line with our expectations. The players seem to be excited for this new gaming experience and this is reflected in the pre-orders," Edwards says.

Sony said:
We're really optimistic about how this title's likely to perform. It's got a great studio behind it and what we've revealed so far has been really well-received. It was also on many ‘Most Anticipated Games of 2017' lists which added to our confidence.

About the only thing that's CLOSE to what you are arguing is the "playstation icon of the future" comment about the main character.

But in the same set of interviews, Sony said they can't even tell yet if the game will be a franchise or not. It's actually altogether pretty tepid statements from Sony. Pre-orders "in line with expectations"... "we'll have to wait and see" if this even turns into a franchise.

You really should have stopped pages ago. I quoted your last post because calling people "morons" is not a good idea on GAF if you want to keep your account active.

I repeat for the last time, I'm not expecting it to change anything but Sony does and I don't see it.

You have jumped all over the place so much you don't even know what you are saying. First you said people were talking about it like it would change WRPG's, forever. When people called that out you said Sony expects it, then you post to irrelevant articles, now you are saying you never said this, despite your posts being easy to find a page or two back..WTF dude?

If you have the time, mind telling me which post I said that Sony expected it to change the genre. Again, if I have miscommunicated, I will gladly leave.

Last few pages were about the white womenz, now it's:

From the 4chan impressions from the Citizen Bane guy, the fog and the white womenz to the extreme goalpost moving. What a ride it's been, folks.

If the impressions thread is this bad, the review thread will be a bloodbath.
