I'll do a big thread on why I think it's a bad game outside of the parts I mentioned when I stop being lazy. The characters are pretty meh and I couldn't get invested into them because well they have no real arcs or no real development to speak of, every single main char just exists to be an extension of Noctis except maybe Gladio who has Iris on the side. Just terrible writing. The world itself is also incredibly boring, the only cool looking things(as in final fantasy levels of cool) are the meteor while Titan is still holding it up and Altissia and the little bit of Insomnia, everything else is just eh whatever.



Yeah finally an open world game that might dethrone Unity in the visual department.

Overall, from footage, I think this game clearly beats out unity visually. Better geometry, more beautiful lighting, better LoD, more consistent texturing, more post processing going on. And of course, Unity was rough in many spots. Personally I think Wildlands and FFXV already beat out Unity anyway.

The first one unlocks horse mount the last unlocks Thunderjaw override, It is like level1 dungeon to level 5 dungeon , now take that as you will.

I have no idea where I am but the plot is advancing and more answers are hitting me than questions at this point so it feels like I'm reaching a meaty conclusion.

The plot to this game almost all makes sense to me now. What happened then and what happened now is all tied into the politics of the game. It's great.

It's during an in-game in-engine cutscene which leaves you right at that spot so it looks basically the same during gameplay.

There are not other Weapon type other than salvage parts of Machine which can be used as weapons.
