Shits gotten better now that things have opened up. There's now Corrupted Zones marked on the map that house stronger enemies. You beat a zone, you get a shitload of XP plus goodies.

Hmmm sounds like good shit. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this Day 1 but this info has definitely peaked my interested level from 0% to at least 40/50%. Excited to read where this goes next.

I dont care for how rain is handled in this game. First it feels like a filter comes over the screen and things get grey, this happens like a second or two before the rain starts. It always looks the same, I never see like sunny rain or anything. And its not a subtle change, its like someone turned on the water.
But this is basically what the game looks like most of the time.
This here is an invisible wall, I climed a mountain and hit this point and I just cant go further. Its weird cause I see items to gather in the area I cant get too.
And some pretty stuff

First off, the game looks just omg. Like the colors pop my eyes dude. So good.
But about the impressions, I just hope its legit and not people in the honeymoon phase of it being a new game.

It really really really wasn't. I'm so bitter about how terrible everything but the combat, animations and music is.
That's the thing different folks different opinions. I was one in the impressions thread that got it early I loved it and I still love it. I've never played a Final Fantasy game so long (130 hours currently), it was my first platinum trophy., loved the characters. With all things regardless of what others say your enjoyment will depend on if the game just clicks for you or not.

Hmm...these kinds of visuals in an open world RPG...The faces look better than Shadowfall. In fact the game looks better in pretty much every way than Shadowfall and it is open world...Really impressive effort.
I'll do a big thread on why I think it's a bad game outside of the parts I mentioned when I stop being lazy. The characters are pretty meh and I couldn't get invested into them because well they have no real arcs or no real development to speak of, every single main char just exists to be an extension of Noctis except maybe Gladio who has Iris on the side. Just terrible writing. The world itself is also incredibly boring, the only cool looking things(as in final fantasy levels of cool) are the meteor while Titan is still holding it up and Altissia and the little bit of Insomnia, everything else is just eh whatever.
Yeah finally an open world game that might dethrone Unity in the visual department.

I think they run out of budget with transparency texture , you can see compromises in water textures , it looks simple mesh with moving textures.
I know it is too much to ask , but could have done something simillar to DAYS GONE Rain.

Rain tends to be effects that are put in after most of the hardware's power is spent, I imagine Guerrilla spent most of their power limitations on the folliage and robots. The PS4 is rendering something ludicrous at any given moment so while it's a shame that this part of the game probably isn't as convincing as say MGS2, Days Gone or Zelda BoTW it's not really core to the experience.
