I saw it. There was one scene that could be considered a jumpscare (the main reveal). The horror stems from the darkness revealed as the documentary goes while you recognise its existence prior to that reveal. And then you think - is there someone like this around me?
I enjoyed Wolf Creek (movies and the tv series) and there are no jump scares there. Sure, some characters die unexpectedly, but there isn't anything scary about that.
Check out R-Point. A korean horror movie from early 2000s. It's been a while since I watched it but I don't think there are many, if any jump scares. I thought it was a really solid movie. Then ending creeped me out.
