They are good but last generation drives. The OCZ and Intel drives will perform better but the Crucial is no slouch.

The $600 build in the OP looks attractive, will the GTX 460 be a capable card over the next few years though? I was thinking about maybe putting in the GTX 560 to give it a little bit more oomph, my monitor's native res is 1680 x 1050 for what it's worth. Also I think I'll swap out the Phenom for the i5 2500k. Would the i5 and GTX 560 fit work with the motherboard listed in the $600 build or with those necessitate and upgrade? Thanks.

I just got my system running today, over locked it to 4.5 with a voltage of 1.25 made it blue screen in prime95, so I upped it to 1.26 and it seems fine now, temps fluctuate between 59-61C. Does that sound about right? I thought I would have to dabble with the voltage a lot more than that.
ithorien said:$600 build is based on AMD, and the i5 2500k does not work on that architecture. You'll have to get a different mobo as well. The 560 will be fine.

Nafai1123 said:Alright, so I'm planning on building a new pc for the first time in over 5 years. I'm trying to keep it down to around $700. Here's what I'm thinking about getting.
Intel Core i5 Processor i5-2500 3.3GHz 6MB LGA1155 CPU $209.99
GIGABYTE Socket 1155/Intel H67/DDR3/CrossFireX/SATA3/A&GbE/Micro ATX Motherboard GA-H67M-D2-B3 $101.94
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 SATA 6Gb/s 1 TB Internal Hard Drive with 32MB Cache (ST31000524AS) $64.63
Corsair CMPSU-650TX 650-Watt TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply $89.99
GAMMA Classic Series ATX Mid Tower Interior Steel Chassis (Black) $39.99
Corsair Vengeance Blu 4 GB PC3-12800 1600mHz DDR3 240-Pin SDRAM Memory Kit for Intel and AMD Platforms - Not a Kit (Single) CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9B $49.99
XFX Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5 PCIe w/EyeFinity $149.99
Total: $706.52
Would I be better off going for a 2x2GB memory kit instead of the single 4gb card? I figured it would be better to get a single if I'm interested in upgrading to 8 or even 16gb in the future. Also, if I wanted to eventually get another 5850 and run Crossfire, would that power supply be enough?
I'm still not completely sold on the GPU yet. I'm looking at either the gtx460, 5850 or maybe 6850. I was checking out the tomshardware gpu index and it looks like the 5850 performs about the same as the gtx460, and can be found for a bit cheaper.

Since you're getting a CM 212+ and a 2500k, I'm assuming you're interested in overclocking that CPU... so don't get the P8P67 LE for your mobo, get the regular P8P67 or Pro instead. What reviews have you been reading? I've got 4 OCZs and 1 Corsair F90, not a single failure yet. They have the same failure rates as mechanical drives. Sounds like you are coming across anecdotes on forums which end up being forefront rather than the 100s of people who aren't posting because their SSDs are still working.riceandbeans said:Are SSD's worth the investment right now? No the router is three feet away. And yes Windows in controlling the connection. It is a Rosewill adapter.
