What about energy from this one? Because those are the vibes Im getting.

Which isnt a bad thing to me. Im one of the eight people in the world that really enjoyed it.
Nope, it's way closer to Deadly Shadows. Level structure and atmosphere here is pure magic (and the main mechanics are equally wonky lol)

Sounds like a thief game.

A thief game had actual intelligent AI and the stealth wasn't "by the numbers". The guy basically said he wishes the stealth wasn't even there.

I loved this game but the stealth in Indiana Jones seems to basic to even be at this level. Thief's 2014 issue was that it should have been a stealth only game but tried to do other things and got hit hard in the reviews for it. When you change the options to end game if you get spotted the gameplay is completely different. You literally have boss fights where you lose if they see you.

Xbox finally needed a banger on their hands. Hearing it's like Riddick and people like Greg Miller hates it proves we've probably got a pretty decent video game right here.

They might get me to jump into the early access version when I'm nursing my hangover tomorrow.
I love the game (as you can clearly see), but it almost forces you to be constantly frustrated about it.

I, personally, expect that a lot of people would be confused and will hate the game. And I can't blame them, some elements here are just not landing in a decent way.

I watched a streamer earlier and he seemed quite lost by the semi open area. I can imagine that being frustrating.

I need to give it a go.

Im just happy with what seems to be a pretty good quality released title at launch. It seems to be running quite well from what I can see. I hope the gameplay lands for me.

Some helpful info to add to the OP.

The game is confirmed to have cloud save support that can be used on any platform you can link your xbox account to, including Steam.

So, essentially, full cross-save progression, which I assume will extend to the PS5 version too when it launches.

How kid friendly is this? If it's largely puzzle solving and not just savaging folks with blood and gore then I just might drop for the digital upgrade to play on game pass...tonight, right?

I’d assume it’s like the movies. Some blood, but nothing over the top. Might be some disturbing imagery as well. I highly doubt there will be gore.

Thats my thought as well. My daughter really dislikes cut scenes where folks are dying (note to self, stop playing COD6 in front of her :p and definitely will not like it if you are hurting dogs. But my son loves puzzles and knows how much I love Indy, so this could be a fun bit o'dad bonding time if you can pop in, solve some stuff, and pop out without the need to mow down hordes of nazis or deal with jump scare mummies or whatever.

Everything Ive been reading is that there's very few mandatory shootouts and your gun is basically a last resort because using it attracts far too many enemies.

Just started the game and already had a bug on PC. After you got the idol and you escape the ball, I didn’t wait at the hole for the whip and instead just jumped in. But instead of getting a game over screen, it was just a black screen. I can still open the options menu, but if I press quit there, nothing happened. Had to forcefully shut down the game.

Well, if he is braining guys with a bat or choking them to death with the whip, that's not necessarily an improvement :p

But seems like this is a teen rated game without much, if any, emphasize on rag dolling stacks of bodies blood splatter everywhere so thats a good thing!

I watched Indy smash someones forehead with a sledgehammer last night and I saw no blood :messenger_sunglasses:

I think gore in this game would look extremely out of place. But that should inform all other mechanics and tools you're given, and I am hearing there is some dissonance.

Think Wolfenstein. It's basically carbon copy, even the dogs are there (but you can't kill them because the game is PEGI 12).

I couldn't get into the Wolfenstein games. The fact I can't hurt dogs makes it even worse. I think this will be a game I enjoy for the setting\exploring\puzzles and kind of avoiding the game play. I think it was Rand who said he just got costumes and started exploring that way and that sounds like the best thing to do.

where is the page from? is there one for 1080p?

Why is the 3060 ti have higher fps than both 4060 and 4060ti? (still shit at this resolution but still)

The 4060 only has 8x pcie lanes. So when it goes to system ram, its slower than the 3060ti with 16X lanes.
