Presentation is great. 30fps during cutscenes is a bit jarring. Runs fine on SX. Didnt know Tony Todd was in this! RIP Candyman.

Good game so far.
I like that it starts right away with a cool setup and they lean into the campiness. I‘ve been missing this light hearted and fun tone in games. Looks great as well! Runs well on PC too!

Game really is something. Def going on the GOTY list. In a class of it’s own kinda, the only other games I can really compare it to so far are Riddick, The Darkness and Thief 2014 between the feel, the slow burn, the back and forth with traveling (all three games did this a shitload) the stealth and the combat.

I don’t really get this. From what I’ve seen, this isn’t another woke game nor is it following in the footsteps of the godawful last Wolfenstein game… it seems like they just made a good game that people like? What are they crusading against?If anyone wants to laugh.

It seems like 12GB is pretty much fine for everything in this game, but less than that and you have to carefully manage VRAM-related options like texture caching and shadows (and resolution obviously).
The charts above are misleading, it seems like 8GB is fine if you set the texture caching to medium, which doesn't actually lower the texture resolution, it just caches less aggressively so texture pop might be more noticeable.

There’s woke in it, but you don’t run into it until the second area, but so far it’s just a throwaway line and by the time you hear it the game is already at GOTY status. But grifters gonna grift, so expect to see Tweets and a 200 page thread about it here next week.

It’s a straight up adventure game. Feels completely different from Uncharted.

Isn't it Odd that they had denuvo in the review build but not the actual game itself.
They were more worried about review outlets leaking the game than the mass market.

The level design is top tier. The amount of shortcuts and circling back. Collectibles. Side quests. The acting is great too.
I thought it would be decent but it's one of the best games of the year without a shadow of a doubt. Too early to say where I place it as I'm still in the Vatican and have been for the entire day. If it can retain this quality until the end...

I’m still in at the Vatican after all this time but they were right about guns.
Really just totally pointless unless there’s two dudes, you stealth one and then decide to blow the others brains out. But even then you really need to make sure no one else is around

It’s not like uncharted at ALL. Like at all. Indy can’t climb or move nearly like Nathan drake - he plays more like a real 40 year old dude. Also, I almost always use guns if they’re in a video game - have barely fired one in this. It’s more like the forgotten city from what I understand of that game - mostly just looking around at things, but the story pulls you along so you get pretty invested in it.
