Always has.
With Doom Eternal they added RT on consoles while retaining high performance.
ID Tech is one of the best engines in the market.
I'm well aware .. I've been enjoying it since id Tech 2

Nobody is perfect.Funny thing is he hated Red Dead 2 because of the story and Arthur as a character. Not because of the gameplay which is debatable. So no it was a bad take.
Retarded take is not knowing how to actually read what I said.Bruh, would you rather reviewers gloss over tech issues? This is a retarded take
Coming here after reading a bunch of people saying they would have liked it better if it wasn't indy(expectations for the character blah blah) and then seeing people here say that it reviewed HIGH because of indy is sort of weirdly telling.
No it was people who played it and people who didnt. I am in a defacto reviewer discord and it was interesting that some disliked it because it WAS Indy and didnt want troy, wanted other locations, wanted some characters to return that didnt. It was a lot of discussion about not what the game WAS but what it wasnt.Isn't that a case of people who have played the game versus those who haven't?
About two hours in and it’s already the best Indiana Jones game ever made.
Metro have an Xbox game a 90? It must be good then
Dude Metro got it and they hate Xbox80 to 84, maybe higher since Bethesda is selective with who they give review copies to
Happy for indy and machinegames. Cant wait for thr 9th
I imagine much of the animation was mocapped or whatever so why does it look so bad here? All that to recreate the scene & botch it.
Also how silly is it to have that standard fps hands posing when carrying the item and running for your life instead of match the movie...
Can you play it shoot bang style. Or are you forced to stealth
6/10 from EDGE, you can see it coming a mile off.Imagine a 9/10 from Edge.
Guns are veryCan you play it shoot bang style. Or are you forced to stealth
I missed with those damned marble statues way way too often. Indys insane upper body strength failed me.I am only at the first real mission and don't have a gun yet... but I would have been able to just punch them all to death if I wanted to. you can parry and block and use items like brooms, shovels, bottles... fucking marble busts (they take stamina to move tho) and either smack people with them or throw them at them if you want.
on Hard it seems a good hit with a thrown hammer followed by a punch at the startled enemy will kill them pretty quickly. I assume later missions might be harder to do rambo style tho lol

haha I never ever track achievements but I did get one, I haven't heard people talking about thats funny.I only tried it once lol, threw it down the stairs at someone but I carried it with me a few rooms because I wanted to see if it's an achievement lol

The statues throw exactly as statues should. Not at all lol.
Wait this is ID tech? So what is the new doom ID tech 8? II meant that it's a bit old but otherwise, yes, it's obviously very good. Great choice considering that it has to run on the current generation xbox...
The great reviews have surprised me in a good way.
If there’s nothing blatantly bat-shit that’s being glossed over, this will be the first single player game from either Xbox or PS that I play in the past couple of years. If it runs on Deck that is.

To be fair quite a few people on Steam are saying the requirements are overblown (as often is the case), and that the game runs great.my bet is 720p Lowest settings across the board at 30fps should be doable.
since I have the Xbox/Windows Store version I sadly can't really test it myself... but given how it runs on my desktop PC, it seems to be pretty light compared to many current AAA games.

So you never know i suppose.
so anyone still thinking the game needs monster Specs to run well,
here I tested it real quick on my PC,
RTX 3060ti, Ryzen 5600X, 1440p, DLSS Quality Mode (looks better than native TAA), High preset (no adjustments from the preset)
basically the most generic PC specs you can have, and you get 60+fps easily (FPS counter on the top right)
as always, Screen Space Reflections look like complete ass of course (you can turn them off by setting reflections to low, and soon with the update you can hopefully replace them with RT reflections as well)
so honestly, setting reflections to low to remove them is not only a net positive for the look of the game, but also will increase performance in parts by like 5%
and also keep in mind that I am recording this, which also will reduce performance by a handful of percent.
edit:
just to showcase DLSS.
this is me strafing to the left. this spot has some distant trees and some metal bars in a window, which means distant and near parallaxing and disocclusion behind the bars and behind Indy's arm.
subjectively in motion the only real difference I see is that DLSS has slightly less shimmering around objects in motion. other than that the only difference you'll notice is how your performance jumps by 20 fps lol.
but in this example, look closely between the metal bars in that window. you will see that native TAA has way more obvious ghosting of these metal bars inbetween them, while DLSS still has some ghosting too but way less noticeable.
also the leaves on the top of the screen have noticeable ghosting with native TAA, while DLSS has essentially none.
so once again DLSS Quality mode provides a 20% performance boost while improving image quality at the same time. literally free performance.
Ooh nice. I recently upgraded to a 3070 and was thinking i might have to play at 1080p to get 60fps with this game.yeah, I posted on the requirements thread how it is running really well (I'll quote it below)
the TLDR is, at the high preset at 1440p DLSS Quality mode, I get between 75 and 110 fps on a 3060ti.
DLSS Quality Mode also looks better than native (was to be expected since the same was true in Doom Eternal, so iD Tech's TAA is just worse than DLSS)

Happy to have been proven wrong RE 1st person and glad to see the reviews are good!
Looking forward to checking it out when it's released for Gamepass peasants like myself.
