Wow. I knew about the inexplicable jump from 9/11 (I guess due to his "resilience"), but not during the war in Iraq. Interesting.

Yeah, I remember reading that he had a strong downward trend except for 9/11, the Iraq war and catching Sadaam. I guess that graph sums it up pretty darn well.

Although, to be fair, I think the graph is a little deceptive, since it skips 0-30, making 50 look lower than it really is.

Those are the same numbers CNN reported. I'm pretty sure it was the latest Pew numbers, which are on that chart at 51%.
