I marathoned the show at my folks' place for the holidays and was surprised that my sister had already been watching it all along and my mom is now hooked too.

Even she said Jane/Gina Rodriguez is too adorable, grounded, and delightful before giving flashing her judging eyes at me and my sister as to why we're not more like her.

I keep telling people that it's the best show on TV that they're not watching, but they should be. Slowly gaining converts, and pretty soon that admonition might not be true.

Once it hits Netflix people will come in droves.

Thank God CW renewed it already so it won't be too late.

If Gina wins or (oh my god) Jane wins tonight at the Golden Globes, I would love to wake up on Tuesday to series highs for the show.

Had zero doubts after the nomination. Shame odds of Gina winning that Golden Globe over bigger, more established shows/actresses is pretty slim, it would be awesome though and would love to be wrong.


Wait the Globes are tonight?! o_O Wow I'm really out of the loop. Also totally missed or forgot about the show itself getting one as well.

I think the overall show deserves the award more than Gina individually, but still, I cannot complain.

I am really happy for her.

I have been wanting to watch the show but missed it. Thankfully, CW is showing the first two episodes tonight. So far, the pilot is really, really damn good. I know reviews said it kept up the quality, so I think I might be stuck and have to get this off of iTunes to catch up by next week when new episodes start up.

It actually gets better and better. :) So your time and money will be very well spent!

FWIW it looks like eps 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9 are on The CW for free. So you'll only have to buy two eps potentially, unless they remove some tomorrow b/c of the first two re-airing tonight. :)

Decided to watch this show and am caught up now. Team Michael btw, felt for him because his girl that he is engaged to, about to get married gets inseminated, then falls in love with the daddy and finally dumps him for some bs reason when she knows Rafael is too hot to pass up.

Hoping bad things happen to Rafael and Michael puts him down. >:)

What is the best way to catch up on this show? I would always see it randomly on my guide but it would be like chapter 4 or 6 . I don't want to just jump in from a random ep. Does it re run on a certain day, or am I out of luck until a marathon pops up?

I hadn't even considered the episode naming structure as one reason why the show hasn't picked up much traction in viewership since the premiere.

The last show I latched onto after catching it on a whim was Mad Men, and that probably wouldn't have been the case had Comcast's TV listings guide greeted me with "Chapter 39" instead of the much more intriguing (and ironically less intimidating) "Shut the Door, Have A Seat." Hopping onboard something knowing you're way behind just isn't the most inviting proposition for your average channel surfer.

By S2, the showrunner might want to just go with actual episode names or else the Chapter XX will just start sounding silly :p

This is a great show! We have been having a rough patch with our daughter not sleeping and me having issues at work - but this shows makes us laugh so much! It's rare to have such a smart, life-affirming story, and a lovely homage to telenovelas as well.
