The guy's just a total douchebag. Watching him get voted in by a disgusting margin yet again to the all star game makes me sick to my stomach. Hopefully Carter says something bad about Artest so that he'll really be in trouble. Our players should speak out louder against this sleazeball. I'd rather have Shawn Kemp on my team.

Wow-- these refs let Mihm get away with MURDER against Yao on the blocks. Yao's getting fouled multiple times on each move. Ridiculous.

The Rockets making the Lakers look good?

Damn, even the Eastern conference keeps it competitive when they come to LA!

I really don't get why everyone is going crazy that Kobe and TMac are giving $1000 per point to the tsunami relief effort-- I mean, each of these guys is worth at least $75M (between salary and endorsements), so ~$30K each is equivalent to me giving a dollar. :lol

Yeah, it's nice in the sense that they don't have to give ANYTHING (and many rich bums in our society aren't, I'm sure :p), but still-- stop splooging like they're Mother Teresas. :p In other words, I respect their kindness, but let's also keep it in its proper context. :)

DM did you see TMac hug Kobe before they did that charity spot?

Also, this is Tim Legler doing the color commentary, right? Why does his voice sound an octave higher now than it does when he's in the studio on ESPN? :lol Anyone else notice it?

If Jordan pissed in a cup and sent it to the tsunami victims you would claim that you had never seen anyone ever do anything half as charitable.

You're wrong, actually-- but that's par for the course. ;) :p

What gets to me is those ads where NBA players are reading to some kids. Like if what kids need is someone reading to them.

Is the Konex effect officially dead? He predicted the Lakers would handle the Rockets and so far he looks to be right.

Shit, I am probably going to anger God by questioning the Konex effect and Kobe will tear both of his Achilles in the 2nd half. :(

Hell, I don't know. I've been drinking. It was funnier in my head.

I should hope so... ;)

:p

EDIT: Good to see the "Kobe Bitch Scream"® is still in full effect. :lol

Right when you say that, Yao falls down on a reach from Chucky Atkins.

What is the Chinese word for soft? Hakeem must be rolling around in his grave.

Kornheiser had it right. He's a giant stick figure.

Now Eddy Curry...he'll be something to watch in a year or two, right airbrian? =p

Yao makes Bradley look like Shaq.
What's funny is that they both look so out of place when trying to be angry. After Bradley blocks a shot and he gets all pissed, I laugh everytime at his face. It's just so unnatural.

This is a fun game :D

Oh I'm sure: Kobe's shooting 50+% and has 0 turnovers :D

Let's see how long that holds up. :p I was laughing when Tim Legler said that if Kobe's TO average held up for the rest of the season (which I don't believe it will-- I feel he'll end up averaging ~ 4.1 TO's/game), it would be the highest TO/game average in history. Man, what a dubious distinction that would be. <rubs hands together> MWAHAHAHA :D

Dream shake :lol

Yeah, the move was similar to the first part of that famous sequence of moves Hakeem laid on David Robinson that time, but that's not "The Dream Shake". :D

"The Dream Shake" is simply that thing that Jordan did also, where they give you that shoulder fake towards the other direction before turning the other way for the fadeaway or post-up move. :)

Man, TMac shot that one from like 5 feet behind the line. :lol

Rockets getting killed on hustle, though-- no excuse to no get that loose ball last time down, which got saved by a Laker and turned into a Mihm dunk.
