Before they threw it to Sager outside the locker room the first time, I was saying to myself "how long until we get a report from Craig Sager out side the locker room speaking in hushed tones?" :D

I mean, why do they always whisper in situations like that? :lol Separated by numerous walls and doors-- it's not like the trainer or players are gonna come running out screaming, "hey, could you keep it down out here!?" :D

Well, looks like a severe sprain, not a break thankfully. Still, that's gonna take a while, I'd imagine.

Well that's it, Kobe's season is over.

You might want to avoid Bionic for a few weeks, konex.

Yes! That's the SAME EXACT INJURY that I was saying happened to me-- it rolled sideways AND forward along the tip of the foot (according t what Craig Sager said the doctor told him). That thing took FOREVER to heal, and I used to heal pretty quickly from "normal" ankle rolls.

I feel bad for him-- that shit really hurt. I actually went to the ER to see if it was broken, because it was swollen and black and blue (this happened at a night league).

Second time Kobe injures himself while playing against Lebron.

MJ's spirit is strong with this one.

Hah, that's what you get for trying to copy father, Kobester!

:lol :lol

Nah, since the interviews aren't really working out for him, he'll get the "doctors" to say he'll be out 6-8 weeks, but then he'll magically come back after 2 weeks. He'll then be a "stud" for coming back so soon and playing with the pain while making sure his team stays in the playoff hunt. He's such a drama queen.

Haha, the Cavs are trash. Playing the Bobcats, Nets, Hawks and Hornets like 10 times will give anyone a good record :lol

And Konex will lap it all up...<sluuuurp> :D

LOL @ Lamar Odom's words to Sager: "best player in the league" (referring to Kobe). :lol

And by "anyone" you mean everyone in the East except the Bulls, right? Right?

If Kobe is not out too long, this could help the team. Sasha and Bobbit will get PT and Rudy will finally have to utilize Lamar effectively. The coming schedule is not too terrible also. Please no more than 5 games though >_<

Scoring averages of Laker opponents are sure to plummet. :lol It's a good thing they built this team around Mr. Indestructible, otherwise they'd have some real prob....oops. :D Sorry, couldn't help it. But now I guess there'll be real reason to celebrate a 6th seed. You're a wonderful audience. I'll see ya next week. :lol PEACE.

Who do you think is better?

My top player list:

Duncan
Garnett
Lebron
Shaq/Kobe/Wade (all tied)

Lebron's arguable, but TD and KG aren't. Therefore, Kobe is not the "best player in the league", like Odom said. :lol Most (non-Kobe-splooger) people put Kobe in the top 3 or 4, as I do.

Bron better than Kobe? You're crazy. He has no range and he doesn't play defense. Wade = Kobe? Gimme a break, dude :lol

I like that thinking. Lamar Odom may finally grow some Balls while Kobe is out of the game.

I think you'd find that at least 50% of all analysts and sportswriters you poll would say that they'd take Lebron on their team over Kobe right now. So, like I said-- it's arguable. But Kobe is definitely not "the best player in the league", which is the (absurd) commont of Odom's that I was laughing at. :p

Btw, Lebron is averaging a full steal per game more than Kobe. There are two parts to defense: on the ball D and off the ball D. Kobe's clearly better at one; I'd say that Lebron is clearly better at the other (though "off the ball D" also includes such things as help defense, which Kobe may have the edge in). Still, Kobe's defense is overrated in my (and many others') opinion.

Don't be bitter about Lebron's success just because he's stolen your boy's media thunder. :D Btw, "no range" doesn't mean shit when one guy's shooting nearly 50% while the other struggles at 40%. :lol

SUCK IT, KONEX! :D

Lebron vs Kobe 1 on 1? GTFO

Yes, Kobe's clearly the better one-on-one player, but that doesn't necessarily make him the better overall player.

So you think Kobe's the best player in the league, VPhys? :lol

well i'm no kobe fan, but come on...75% of that is because lebron is younger, has more potential at his age, has much better PR, and is a bigger draw than kobe right now. that's why we'd all take him.
has more to do with that than just their skills....

Nah, I don't think it's just that, and I think you're deluding yourself if you think that's the only reason people are saying that. :D

Kobe's not exactly ancient himself, you know lol. He has at least another 8-9 years in him.

oh, i know. but bron is 19(or is he 20 now?) and he's already getting MVP consideration. if i'm running a franchise I take Bron over ANYONE. over KG, Shaq, Duncan...anyone. more ticket sales, more potential, more everything. he is a more multi-tooled player than kobe for sure, but he is a not a flat out better player yet.

i mean, say it's game 7 in the finals. who do you want right now, for that one game?

No shit. You can hate the guy but don't hate his game...

PS: Was that Bron who just got beat baseline by Caron? :lol He'll be great and maybe better than Kobe when it's all said and done but saying he's better now is buying into media hype...

Caron Butler was jumping up and down yelling like he just won the game with that dunk. Get your ass back on D and stop celebrating like the game is over!

True. You could tell he was a rookie at getting nice dunks like that. Kobe would have just done his signature celebration of putting up the index finger and shaking his head. :lol

71-71 at the end of the third.

I would have been content with the Lakers being tied in the 3rd quarter with Kobe IN the game.

Oh...sorta like you've been doing for about 3 years now with Kobe with respect to some "other" player? :D

I think Kobe's top 3 or 4-- how is that "hating his game"? :lol Or, do you want me to just crown him as the best player in the league despite the fact that he isn't (this is known as "The VPhys Tactic" :D)?

oh, and just for the record, i don't think kobe is the best player. just better than lebron right now.
Duncan > KG > logjam of players

I would only put KG and Timmy over Kobe cos they are versatile bigmen. No one else. Now are people on his level? Sure. T-Mac, Dirk, Ray and AI. Bron is not there yet...

Yes this is very frustrating. They are doing so well when they go into the paint. The only 3s that should be shot are those by B Cook, and that's only if he's wide open.

Dr. Buss needs to institute a team-wide rule that fines a player $10000 for every 3 they take. That'll make these fuckers think twice before they go around chucking shit all over the place.
