MVP was definitely the break-out star of 2007, and Edge definitely has the best pyro. But why am I debating about a WWE.com poll?

Here's another update on WWE HD:
um.... USA has been in HD since like October... so I don't know what they mean "alongside". Unless they actually meant CW.

Well, if that's to be believed, then I am guessing ECW will go HD the same week Smackdown does being that USA and Sci-Fi should use the same uplink satellite. It also confirms what I was wondering, that WWE typically only uses one production unit.

umm

Didn't Masters get fired? He was on Fight Network radio doing an interview after he got canned saying he was going to do some indy shows for a while.

and Cena > all of you

If you watch his DVD, his wrestling skills are there but due to the WWE's style of wrestling, he really can't use it. His gimmick is a brawler much like post-broken neck Austin. He had a great match with Umaga at Royal Rumble last year.

McMahon-HHH beef.

I got mad respect for you brother going to bat for Cena with all of the dillusonal Cena hater fucktards.

John Cena is not the greatest wrestler in the world but i wouldnt call HHH any better then him, Cena carried triple h at wrestlemania 22.

Angle didnt do anything like bury Cena if anything he put Cena over.

Did anyone pick up "The Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling" DVD? Care to give some impressions?

Cena has put on some of the most entertaining matches in the past couple of years including the Last Man Standing match against Umaga and that match against HBK on Raw early last year. He's no Angle, but he still has more skills than most people give him credit for.

finally got around to watching raw.

JBL and Jericho is going to be great.

Jeff Hardy still sounds weak on the mic, but he's gotten better, has crazy heat going into the royal rumble, and overall the whole promo and matt's return was pretty cool.

HHH vs. Flair was ok, not great. kind of stupid ending.

the women's triple threat was actually excellent.

umaga squashing hacksaw was a waste. and an insult to do it right after the promo of hacksaw winning the first RR. absolutely appalling. either they should have left the RR1 tribute to hacksaw out of there or had umaga squash someone else.

overall a pretty good raw actually.

I'm wondering if HHH is just taking time off from the RR, or if they are actually going to work a storyline in with him making a crucial appearance. I swear to god if the championship matches fue to interference from HHH... what a waste.

So, TNA and RAW are both coming to Austin in the next couple of months.

RAW is filming 2 episodes in one night (I might go to this), and TNA is doing a house show. The house show isnt at the Frank Erwin Center (basketball arena) that the WWE is allready at. Its not at the other smaller arenas in town either (austin city music hall, palmer events center).... it is at the Travis county expo center. Austin is in Travis county, so thats all well and good, but the expo center has 1 purpose in life, and that is the Travis country rodeo. Its also a 25 minute drive outside of the city (35-40 minutes from downtown). i.e. its in the boonies, much like you would expect a rodeo to be. Poor TNA :lol

used to be more.

The good ole days but piss poor WWE shows and TNA doing not much has turned this forum against them.

I do however like the Beat The Clock challenge.
You get a lot of hard hitting, fast paced matches.

The Faceless Master said:
so if edge has the fastest time, does he face himself?

I was curious about that as well.
Like shouldn't he win so he doesn't have to fight? :lol

Also, I thought they would wait JBL/Jericho out.

Good show though.
Sets up their storyline into Mania (Taker/Edge most likely), the Rumble itself and a main event.

Just so I'm clear.
This is for possession of the belt and not the actual title again?

The Faceless Master said:
correct, Jay Lethal is the X Division Champion, but Team 3D has possession of the belt
Did they ever give a reason why this isn't a title match. It's not like their are restrictions to being a X-division champion.

Angle vs. Nagata was a let down. This should have been much better, but Angle kind of phoned it in and they basically played out Angle vs. Benoit #452 but with kicks instead of chops and zero intensity. Normally, Nagata would be kicking some faces in all match long, but w/e.

Nakamura vs. Tanahashi was not a great match technically, but was still enjoyable. Tanahashi is awesome as a pseudo heel and carried Nakamura throughout the entire thing. I'm still not sold on Nakamura though. Just can't buy into him.

Rest of the card was mehtastic. Not a match even worth mentioning in there. The crowd didn't buy into the TNA guys at all (sans Angle since he has the 3rd gen IWGP title [which isn't even recognized now]) and all of the matches fell flat.

Yeah, I could tell throughout the matches that the crowd wasn't into TNA. But I believe if TNA continues their relationship with NJPW, maybe when their are other big shows throughout the year that TNA presence could be different. I'd hope anyway.

Though TNA has to fix that awful booking. . .

Haven't watched Nagata vs Angle yet and the IGWP Title bout. But I will say this about Nagata, his match against Giant Bernard was the shit.

It's so hard to tell with a Japanese crowd what they are into. The TNA guys were doing a very "american" style though, so that could be part of it.
