The Triple H roar is powerful.

I guess TNA is about to give Kurt two months off to take care of his legal problems. Its a dumb storyline decision but whatever.

BTW, I'm also sick of seeing Matt Morgan not wrestle. This is ridiculous.

Um no, read next weeks spoilers. It's continuing another bad TNA storyline...

I just saw this little rumor, it seems a bit interesting:

WrestlingObserver.com reports that a former multi-time world champion has signed to return to WWE. No word yet on who the signee is.

I've decided my problem with TNA is the camerawork and production. I like some of the matches I've seen recently well enough, but it's like they need to change the shot every two seconds like it's a montage instead of a match.

Anyway, who's the chick in the genie outfit?

Depending on the wording since never says WWE champion.
Think they could be referring to Ron Killings.

Thats what I noticed, it never says WWE Champion or World Heavyweight Champion... so it will probably be someone not too special. Although, I don't think it could be Killings because I don't think he was a multi-time champion.

He was a hardcore champion in WWE multiple times.

Apparently he is a 2 time TNA champion.

The pieces seem to be adding up....

Well after seeing these 2 posts it seems that we will be seeing the return of Ron Killings to the WWE! Now I wonder how they will misuse him?

Didn't Cena and Killings get into some beef?

I also saw that Chris Harris has agreed to join WWE when his TNA contract is up next week.

Where will Vince throw these 2? ECW doesn't have enough time for more stars. Smackdown has waaaaaaay too many jobbers and young stars to really need more. Raw has guys on the roster that get a match once a month. When was the last time Super Crazy had a match on Raw?

I think Cena was like "Killings lol" at some airport and then Killings did some shoot interview about he's the only true rap star in wrasslin' or something.

Also, ECW would have time if the entire WWE went back to a more old-school show format.

To squash a rumor that was reported here earlier today, "Wildcat" Chris Harris has NOT signed with World Wrestling Entertainment. The former TNA tag champion is still under contract to TNA for at least another week. It's possible he will sign with WWE after he's a free agent, but for now he's with sstill TNA.

well I did say after next week!

Sweet christ, please no.

"Former WWE Champion John Cena will be starring as Detective Danny Baxter in WWE Films' next project, 12 Rounds, a cop-action film that begins shooting in New Orleans on 2/25. As of now, the movie is set to release on September 5, 2008 and will go up against Clive Barker's Hellraiser.

12 Rounds will be directed by Renny Harlin, the director of movies such as Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, Cutthroat Island, Long Kiss Goodnight and The Covenant, among others. Fox Atomic, a sub-division of Twentieth Century Fox will distribute the film to theaters nationwide. 12 Rounds will be produced by WWE Films with Vince McMahon as a producer along with The Mark Gordon Company, Josh McLaughlin and Becki Cross Trujillo.

The plot focuses on Detective Danny Baxter and an evil crime lord in New Orleans who kidnaps Baxter's girlfriend and forces him to go "12 Rounds" through the city.

In related news, WWE Films' other project, Jornada del Muerto (Journey of Death), is now listed as having a 2009 release. Triple H is still listed as starring in the film as Jonah Hawk. The plot is based on a modern day Western where gangs, drugs trafficking and broken codes of honor rule. Not much else has been released about the Journey of Death film, but it appears 12 Rounds starring John Cena is definitely a go. "

That movie sounds like The Marine but a different setting. And a HHH movie is gonna be a snore. Why not a cop comedy starring Kennedy and Stevie Richards? Fuck marketability of names, put people with some personality that will actually fit the roles in there imo.

Should have just named it "The Detective" :lol . Die Hard 2, Long Kiss Goodnight, and Cliffhanger were amazing, but not even Harlin could save a movie with such a generic premise and sure to be crappy cast.

John Cena defeating Triple H for the WWE Title at Summer Slam *CONFIRMED*

This is a big month for WWE, as they will finally begin broadcasting in high-definition. Starting with the Royal Rumble in just over 2 weeks, RAW, SmackDown! and all future PPV events will air in HD.

WWE used their upgraded HD production truck at this past Monday’s RAW. Aside from the picture quality getting a major upgrade to high definition, the audio of WWE programming will be broadcasted 5.1 surround sound.

There has been talk within WWE about creating a new television set for RAW and ECW to launch with the debut of High Definition programming.

Many within WWE are very concerned about the negative aspects of switching to HD. Aside from the fear that the improved picture quality will reveal more of the "fakeness" of wrestling, there is fear that wrestlers such as Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker will look older. Standard TV allows for a softer image and hides certain physical flaws, but with HD those flaws are much more visible.

Oh surround sound. Now you can hear them calling out spots even better.

You can spot the blades even easier.

And HBK's bald spot is gonna be even more recognizable.

Hmm if ECW gets a new set wonder if Smackdown gets one as well.
Curious what new Raw set would look like.

Looks like the former multi-time champion is Killings

-- Former TNA wrestler Ron "The Truth" Killings was telling people at an indy show he was on last week that he was going to sign the contract World Wrestling Entertainment offered him. His deal is an $80,000 per year downside guarantee, thus meaning that he will bypass developmental and head straight for the main roster upon his arrival.

And Chris Harris is once again gone from TNA. (its been back and forth the last 24-hours :lol )

It has been confirmed that Chris Harris has parted ways with TNA. He will be free to go elsewhere when his TNA contract expires in a few days.

Furthermore, TNA has removed his profile from the company website.

"It was too late for me...."

Yesterday was the first time that I had watched a full episode of Impact in awhile, and it actually wasn't too bad.

Even though TNA still needs to do a lot of things to get their product turned around (and I'm pissed that they let Killings and Harris go), they've done a pretty great job with developing their women's division. Kim vs. Kong has been terrific to watch and has been largely absent of any of those usual TNA booking-isms that ruin other feuds.

Plus, they've got a nice little roster right now that might be better than the WWE's women division not only in terms of talent, but also in their range of personalities:

Awesome Kong
Gail Kim
Jackie Moore
Traci Brooks
Cheerleader Melissa
Shelly Martinez
Roxxi Laveaux
ODB
Christy Hemme
Sharmell
So Cal Val
Angelina Love
Velvet Sky

Eh...no big loss. He got Marty Jannety'ed after AMW split. Storm was proven to be the better of the 2. Harris is just too balnd and made no real effort to move up the card. He was given main event shots and did jack with them.

Has James Storm proved himself to be anything but a slighlt successful comedy act?

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

We reported earlier that The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had noted a big name of WWE's past - a multi-champion superstar was set to return with the company.

The January 14 edition of the Newsletter confirms that former multi-time WWE Champion Paul Wight - The Big Show - has either signed with the company or has agreed to a deal, and will be starting full-time very soon.

Big Show is down to 440 lbs after leaving pro wrestling to rest, and pursue a possible career in boxing, which obviously included boxing training that got him in quite a good shape. Dave Meltzer also mentions in the Observer that a part of his boxing deal was that Hulk Hogan was to be his "front man" acting like a manager in wrestling for him by doing promos and appearances. This was also the main reason many boxing promoters were actually interested in Big Show and paying him so much money to learn the sport. These plans, however, fell apart at some point, and Show realized that at his age, boxing might not be the right direction to go anyway. There have also been no recent updates or even talks of Hogan doing his own wrestling tour - a very discussed topic of the past. Hence with nothing on the horizon, Big Show is back with WWE.

w00t w00t :D

Big Show as a mystery opponent v. Hornswoggle? Oh boy...

Also: is Chris Harris the guy who had like... a white duster and sunglasses? I don't know whether this is a good addition to WWE or not.

Ok, so I've got some gift money to spend, and I'm currently trying to decide between getting one of these three DVDs:

611XTHBZ6CL._AA240_.jpg

The History of the WWE Championship DVD

51Y937PV0GL._AA240_.jpg

Bret "Hitman" Hart DVD

WWE: The Ladder Match DVD

Any recommendations as to which is the best of the three?

I'd go for the championship set. Just for the sheer variety of stuff on it. The ladder Match set is GREAT, but you get kinda burned out on ladders by the tme you get to the end of disc 2. Bret Hart's another great one, but you find he wrestles every match the same way.

EDIT: Yay at Big Show being back! If he's booked like the monster he should be, I'll be happy. His run as ECW champ was pretty entertaining.

awesome at big show being back. his ecw and tag team days with kane were excellent.. until their tag team was broken up by that may 19th shit.

also confused on why ECW isn't in HD, or if they just left it out. I mean they're shooting it with HD cameras and producing it in HD. Do they just not want to pay to uplink it to universal in HD? Although I suppose with the ratings that could actually be the very reason why.

I'm pretty sure I read that all 3 shows are going to be in HD, so if you have a Sci-Fi HD channel, you should check it next week when all of the WWE HD is supposed to start.
