Did anybody catch the New Years ppv this morning?

Yep, Liger vs Despy was pretty good and I enjoyed all the tag matches in the second half. Fun Korakuen show with a lively post-Dome crowd.

I disagree. It was good in it's own right, despite an awful crowd. You had Bryan and Rollins each give one of the most memorable promos of their careers. Midcarders were getting fleshed out with actual storys. Also a title change in a good match. The wrasslin wasn't quite there, but they did try by giving 2 of their megastars in Rollins vs Reigns a bit of time too. They failed but that's probably only for the best of us fans for the long term.

but I don't want Rollins vs Reigns on a random Raw, I want a build up to freaking WM

instead they're building Reigns vs FREAKING BIG SHOW AAAAAAAAAAAAH

Due to bluray on PC still being GARBAGE and unable to rip it because of a tiny scratch, I couldn't do the full review of Quantum of Solace. I liked it, although for a direct sequel to CR, it doesn't really seem to fit in very well. After reading that the director and Daniel Craig ended up rewriting a bunch of it due to the writer's strike, it made more sense why it was so disjointed and felt more like a traditional "30 minutes in and I've lost the plot" kind of Bond movie. There were cool stunts. The car chase to start was dope. M was dope. I like Daniel Craig a LOT as Bond, but the movie was pretty messy. It's definitely not the worst one I've watched, though.

That's twice now they've done Reigns/Rollins with zero build-up on Raw. I don't understand that decision given the investment they have in both guys.

because Vince thinks the money match is Reigns vs Big Show, because he's old as balls and out of touch

Big Show is an attraction, not a main event

I think the only time WWE/wrestling legitimately fucked me up emotionally was when Chris Benoit went bonkers.

The week to week show shenanigans don't phase my mood negatively at all. I either enjoy parts of the show, or enjoy the reactions to the show here.

I love you Lucha. The poster, not the Mexican thing. I mean, Lucha isn't bad, but Mexico best exports are mostly food. I mean, I enjoyed watching Eddie Gerrard, but I can't eat him. At least not legally. I'm not sure why cannabalism between two consenting cunts is wrong anyway. Although eating cunts is all legal, amirite guys? Reminds me that my girlfriend is in Cyprus though, which is a bugger.

Wait, what's going on?

I didn't hate it as most people did but yeah I have no idea what the hell happened in that movie. I can recall the action sequences and Olga Kurylenko but that's about the extent of it.

Wait, what's going on?

As a Mexican I pretty much agree. I guess that makes me a traitor but I don't really give a shit about their programming, music, or wrestling. I just never found any attraction to it.

Mexican women can be pretty hot though!

The only time WWE depresses me is when wrestlers die or when i realize I wrestler i enjoy is going to be trapped in a low tier position

Hey, Strobo, still enjoying the Bond reviews. Keep them coming!

The Man with the Golden Gun was the movie I was trying to remember where Roger Moore's Bond gets all rapey. You put Connery in that same movie and it would feel completely different.

Connery's Bond would struggle to actually rape anyone, because 'no' would be 'yes' before he even got his cock out.

Yeah buddy!

Stoked that Nagata challenged Nakamura to an Intercontinental Title match. And I was pretty shocked that Okada got beat down so bad. It makes perfect sense, but if this was WWE Okada would've beaten like 12 guys in one night - gotta' MAKE HIM LOOK STRONG after that loss right?

Even though most of the wrestlers clearly brought their A games to WK9, and guys like Ishii and Makabe should be dead and/or have a night off, they were still there kicking ass.

EDIT: Upon retrospect is this one of those things I should spoiler tag?

I've seen it a couple of times, and yeah, I couldn't tell you the plot, either. I think the big reveal was some water scam?

It's still pretty alright, though, I enjoy the action scenes.

Mexican food kicks ass. Vince should give out Mexican food with each network subscription.

Because of the way things trickle down here, I always wonder if what we get is the British version of Mexican food or the British version of the American version of Mexican food. One things for sure, it's a bitch to find refried beans.

Good refried beans are hard to get. The authentic stuff is made with Lard.

Moore's Bond is even more of a ruffian cunt than Connery's in that and you can tell he's not into it, nor is anyone watching into it. It feels so weird and Moore isn't like that in any of his other movies. The only one left is The Spy Who Loved Me. I will rewatch Skyfall as well, though. So I guess half of OHMSS is the only thing left since it was all scratched up.

What's funny is that the beginning relates directly from Casino Royale with Mr. White and then it's just suddenly dropped. I think you're right about the water scam, the main bad guy from Quantum was trying to take over a water supply or something.

It was fucking lovely. JR clearly gave a damn about it and flipped out over that and other things.

Like I said last night, JR really elevated the main even to 'great' level for me, even though I put the Sakuraba match and the IC match higher.

My wife was posting on facebook about the event and how much she likes Okada today, and it's basically unheard of for her to talk about wrestling publically anymore other than to complain when I'm watching RAW.

It was a dude in QUANTUM damming the water supply in Boliva to create a monopoly over utilities in the country and basically run the country from behind the scenes.

Just finished watching NYD. Some angle advancement...

- Liger retained the NWA Jr. Belt against El Despy, and as thanks to Tiger Mask for getting Taka and Taichi out of the way, he offered to give him a title match

- Suzuki-gun won a 10-man tag, and afterwards called out Marufuji and TMDK. Looks like we might be getting Suzuki vs. Marufuji for the GHC title and TMDK vs. KES for the NWA tag titles.

- Taguchi challenged Omega to a Jr. Heavyweight title rematch

- Bad Luck Fale beat Okada in a tag match, and afterwards challenged him to a singles match.

- Nakamura was challenged by Yuji Nagata for the IC title

- AJ Styles, as expected, challenged Tanahashi for the IWGP title after beating him with the Styles Clash in the main event 8-man.

- The Bullet Club introduced their newest member...sort of. Their "Young Boy", Cody Hall (Yep, Scott's son). He's not a full member yet and will be playing the role of the Bullet Club's ring boy like Tanaka and Komatsu do for the main NJPW guys.

TONIGHT is the NIGHT, friends~! Who's ready for an exciting new year of Monday Night RAW!

lol does Cody Hall seriously have a "Carpe Diem" tattoo?

Mexican women can be pretty hot though!

I visited Playa del Carmen last weekend. First thing we did was ask the pretty Mexican woman in the hipster tea shop (you can take the yuppie out of Manhattan...) where to find some real ass Mexican food, away from the tourist shopping center.

Walked like 15 minutes away from the tourist area into the real part of town and dined on real ass ceviche and other seafood dishes. Fish filet topped with shrimp and octopus and chilis and peppers and onions and spices topped with a fish filet topped with more spices.

If Brock doesn't sign Vince will make him job good. Brock will then reach deep within to muster his inner HBK and sell the fuck out of everything.

The majority of American Mexican food is Tex-Mex. Bastardized Mexican food full of cheese, sour cream, tomatoes and flour tortillas.

A proper Mexican taco is 2 corn tortillas with meat, onion, cilantro and salsa verde.

So what the heck is the current rumoured plan for Cena at mania anyway?

I guess I could see them doing Cena vs Bryan if both are nowhere near the title.

From Wrasslepedia:

Nakamura would be loaned to World Wrestling Entertainment to gain experience in working large American shows; this was reportedly at the request of John Laurinaitis and Dean Malenko.[7] However, it proved to be mostly speculation and never came to pass, as Nakamura was urgently needed back in New Japan due to Lesnar's departure.

Huh... Wonder how that would've gone...

Brock doesn't give a fuck about any of WWE's petty bullshit and it's been telegraphed since he beat The Streak that he'll be losing at this Mania.

They do red sauce too but it isn't fucking picante.
